‘DWTS’ Season 29: Meet the New Cast!
The wait is over! Dancing With The Stars finally made the announcement of the list of celebrities competing in the upcoming season. This will be Season 29 of the ABC hit dance competition. Amid earlier reports of having trouble finding celebrities, ABC made the cast announcement on Good Morning America.
Did Fans Get Their James Corden Dream?
Ahead of the announcement, ABC posted several ‘teaser’ videos on their social media. One of the videos included the clues of a microphone and a car. Fans immediately thought of James Corden and his “Carpool Karaoke.” Other fans thought the clues pointed at rumored contestant, rapper Nelly.
So, will fans get their wish for James Corden on Season 29 of DWTS?
No, sorry, Karaoke fans! Nelly will be competing on DWTS, not the CBS talk show host.

New Host Just One Change Fans Can Expect on DWTS
Last month, Tom Bergeron SHOCKED fans with the news of his exit as host from DWTS. It seems ABC is taking the show in a new direction for the upcoming Season 29. Tom’s co-host, Erin Andrews, was also let go.
While neither have spoken out with specifics, the impression fans get is that it wasn’t their decision to leave.
ABC tapped former America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks as solo host of DWTS. Fans are threatening to boycott the ABC show, so the celebrities they’ve chosen better draw fans back in.
In addition to a new host, the ballroom will look VERY different. Due to the coronavirus, live audiences will likely be scrapped. ABC has yet to specify how the show will work with social distancing and mask mandates.
However, we do know that the pro dancers will be quarantined away from each other. That means married pro dancers will be spending the next few weeks apart.
