Andy Cohen On Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute Firing: ‘You Can’t Take Away’ Their Importance
Bravo host Andy Cohen is speaking out again on the recent Vanderpump Rules firings. As fans know, Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were all let go in June. While Max and Brett never took off with viewers, fans adore Stassi and tolerate Kristen. In fact, fans are still clamoring for the network to change their minds and reinstate Stassi and Kristen.
Especially after Stassi’s pregnancy announcement days after her firing. Diehard Bravoholics want to see Stassi’s pregnancy journey on more than just her occasional Instagram post.
At the time, Andy said that he “absolutely” thought Bravo did the right thing. However, now he is opening up more about the Pump Rules alums.
Andy Cohen Reveals Last Time He Spoke to Stassi and Kristen
Andy spoke to Us Weekly in depth earlier this week. The Bravolebrity is promoting a virtual hotel experience with Hotel Artois. Not surprisingly, the topic of Kristen and Stassi came up. Andy said that he hasn’t spoken to them in a while.
In fact, he says he “owes them” a text. He hasn’t communicated with them since his initial reach out when the news broke. Would he even get a response? Pump Rules boss Lisa Vanderpump revealed recently that her attempts to reach out to Stassi went unanswered.
Andy reiterates what a lot of fans are feeling right now. He told the outlet that he will “miss both of them a lot on the show.”
Many fans feel that Stassi IS the show and Andy might agree with them.
Despite Firing, ‘You Can’t Take Away’ Their Importance to Pump Rules, He Says
Kristen and Stassi are both original members of Pump Rules. Despite not actually working at SUR for several years now, both continued to appear on the Bravo show through Season 8. The firings came days before the final reunion episode. So, fans feel that neither Kristen or Stassi got an appropriate send-off.
Many fans can’t imagine how Pump Rules could work without Stassi. Andy hints that he feels the same way. He says, “However it ended, you cannot take away how important the two of them have been to that show.” He further states that he “had a lot of fun with them on Watch What Happens Live.”
Since their firings, Stassi and Kristen have mended their friendship. They’ve also been keeping busy. Stassi is prepping for her upcoming baby. She is due in January. Meanwhile, Kristen is happily dating Alex Menache. She is also trying to change her behavior by supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, speaking out against racial injustice.
Do you agree with Andy that Stassi and Kristen’s importance on the Bravo show?
