In case you haven’t seen it yet, Kelly Ripa and her beautiful family graced the cover of PEOPLE this week. The Live! hostess recently shared the cover with fans on her Instagram page.

Fans Missed Kelly Ripa While She Was On Vacation
We’re really glad Kelly seems to be doing so well these days. Fans were pretty concerned when they noticed her absence on the August 3 edition of Live! With Kelly and Ryan. Fortunately, there wasn’t anything wrong. Ryan Seacrest informed fans that Kelly was on vacation with her family. We’re glad she found some time to get away. This pandemic has been pretty draining and we could all use a little R&R time.
After all, Kelly could probably use some time off to mentally prepare, since the new season of Live! With Kelly and Ryan returns this fall. Watch the promo for the new season below:

We thought the promo was cute, but other fans didn’t think so. One fan even took serious issue with it.
One Live! Fan’s Rude Take
They wrote: “The only issue I have with this show (and I watch daily since I am at home nowadays) is the lack of personal grooming. I mean it’s a nationally televised show. And I have to get dressed for every Zoom work call so why can’t you guys.”
Kelly did not take this well.
“We are dressed. FCC rules, not mine,” the Live! hostess clapped back. But it didn’t end there.
“First of all, let me just say, to people commenting about our appearance,” Kelly defended herself. “How dare you and you’re lucky that we actually put clothes on.”
We can hardly blame her. Kelly and Ryan are only human. We also previously reported that like many of us, Kelly is doing her own hair these days. Viewers really need to be more understanding. Celebrities aren’t flawless people and there’s only so much they can do when they don’t have access to professional stylists and makeup artists.
Like us, Kelly and Ryan are both probably suffering from some Coronavirus fatigue. It’s not really fair to expect them to look absolutely perfect on a daily basis.
Dealing With The Loss of Regis Philbin
Additionally, Kelly is probably still grieving for the loss of her long-time co-host and friend, Regis Philbin. The former Live! host passed away at the end of July, aged 88.
“We are beyond saddened to learn about the loss of Regis Philbin. He was the ultimate class act, bringing his laughter and joy into our homes everyday on Live for more than 23 years. We were beyond lucky to have him as a mentor in our careers and aspire everyday to fill his shoes on the show. We send our deepest love and condolences to his family and hope they can find some comfort in knowing he left the world a better place,” Kelly wrote on her Instagram in Regis’s memory.
In any case, we’re glad Kelly managed to find some happiness as she posed with her beautiful family on the cover of PEOPLE. Be sure to pick up your copy when it comes out.
