‘DWTS’: What is Pro Emma Slater’s Big Announcement?

We’re all very excited Dancing With The Stars plans to return next month. However, one of its pros has a major announcement to share with all of us. Emma Slater just got some really exciting career news.

“I got my real estate license today!!!! I really can’t believe it!!!” the 31-year-old dancer posted on Instagram yesterday. “Not too many people know this but I’ve been studying for quite a while, and I’ve had a passion for real estate all my life. I plan to use it for personal investments as well as help others with their real estate needs too. Now I can Cha Cha Cha round my open houses while I show you how big the closet space is! Hahahaha! Yay! 💕🏡✉️”

So What Will Emma Slater Do Now?

We’re really happy for Emma too. We just have one question — will she still appear on Dancing With The Stars?

If Emma chooses to focus on this new life change instead of dancing on television, she won’t be the only one. Pros Lindsay Arnold and Witney Carson both said they will sit out the upcoming season. Both Witney and Lindsay are expecting and are taking time off to focus on family life right now. Emma is very close to these two dancers, so she may just follow suit.

If Emma chooses not to return, we can think of someone who would love the chance to perform again. DWTS execs did not ask Season 27 champion Sharna Burgess to return for Season 28. But she has hope they will ask her back for Season 29. Even though DWTS is scheduled to return in September, we haven’t heard much about the new cast.

“If they ask me, I will jump up and down — [I] might do the ugly cry,” Sharna Us Weekly.

There Is Still A Lot We Don’t Know About Season 29

So far, the only confirmed cast member is Kaitlyn Bristowe. Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli are all expected to return to the judge’s table. Tonioli even gave up his other judging gig for Dancing With The Stars this year.

As you’ve probably heard by now, Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews will not return for Season 29. DWTS executives announced Tyra Banks will host this season instead. Fans aren’t too thrilled with this news.

No matter how you feel about the hosting changes, will you still watch? We’re actually pretty excited to see some new TV content for a change. The Coronavirus pandemic really put a damper on TV production schedules. Maybe give the new season a chance? You might like it after all. Check out the promo for the new season here:
