Jim Bob And Michelle Duggar Get Slammed Over Jennifer’s 13th Birthday Party
On Sunday, August 2, the Duggar family got together to celebrate the 13th birthday of Jennifer Duggar. Jennifer is Jim Bob and Michelle’s seventeenth child, and she is now officially a teenager! But, fans are slamming Jim Bob for throwing their daughter a low-budget birthday party.

According to The Sun, the birthday bash was held in the Duggar family’s backyard. It appeared to be a pretty low profile event. The main party decor included a purple and white balloon arch and a picnic table decorated with a purple tablecloth. The featured food appeared to include a few platters of cookies and brownies, along with some ice cream with candles.
The Counting On stars did not forget to dedicate the following Instagram post to Jennifer and give her a shout out.

The proud parents wrote, “Happy 13th birthday, Jennifer!! You are so special to us! We enjoy you so much, and love watching you grow. Jennifer is dependable, loyal… and fun! She is a favorite with the nieces and nephews and is usually carrying one of them around because they don’t want her to put them down!”
They continued pointing out that Jennifer has a special place in her heart for animals. And they stated their excitement for seeing where life and God will take her as she continues to grow.
Did the Duggars mess up?
In response to the Duggar family’s post, tons of Counting On fans sent supportive birthday wishes to Jennifer. Additionally, many of them pointed out that she looks a lot like her eldest sister, Jana.
Despite all of these supportive birthday messages on Instagram, haters took to Reddit to bash the family. Many called the event a “discount” party.
They went on to call the party the saddest they have ever seen and began to bash Jim Bob for throwing such a party as a multi-millionaire.
One hater wrote, “They stuck some candles in some Great Value ice-cream and called it good enough.”
Additionally, the naysayers were disgruntled because the Duggar family just recently celebrated Joy-Anna’s baby shower and Jim Bob’s 55th birthday. And they seemed to think that the amount of effort put into Jennifer’s party did not appear to compare to the amount put into those two events.
However, it seems on a positive note at least people think Jennifer deserves the best!
