‘Bachelorette’ Producers Scrambled To Save The Show After Shock Withdrawal By Clare Crawley

Bachelorette Clare crawley

Bachelorette fans heard that two weeks into filming, Clare Crawley pulled the plug. On social media, her detractors cheered, and her fans expressed their shock. It all came out when she revealed she already fell in love with a contestant. The producers at ABC already struggled with the delay coronavirus brought to the show, so the news shocked them out their socks. They found themselves scrambling around trying to save the show with no notice.

Bachelorette – shocked producers in scamble-mode as Clare ducks out

We reported that news emerged that Tayshia Adams replaces Clare Crawley. Apparently, Clare still features in the show, but only until her reveal that she already fell in love. A source told E!News that the producers keep that bit in. And actually, it’s hard to imagine them rewriting the whole show with two weeks of filming already done. Originally, producers brought in more contestants than they needed because of the coronavirus. If some got ill, at least standby contestants were on hand as replacements.

But, it seems that Clare pulling out never occurred to them. One can only imagine the shock of the sudden news that Clare refused to film any further. Hurried meetings, frantic brainstorming, and lots of stress probably made their day rather bad. According to a US Weekly source, “no one was as caught off guard as [much as] the producers.” Frantic “scrambling” saw them contact other women from the Bachelorette franchise asking them to come to the location in the next 24 hours.

Mulitple people like Hannah Ann Sluss pitch up at the location

In another article, US Weekly reported that a source said, “Producers continue to reach out to women from the franchise in an attempt to salvage a season that just might be the most dramatic ever.” Hannah Ann Sluss got spotted there taking to producer Julie LaPlaca. Describing it as “off the wall,” the source said they plan for almost anything now. Desperately, they hope to find a way to “salvage the season.”

That might explain why Hannah Ann arrived there. And, other reports emerged that Becca Kufrin might also be at the LaQuinta Resort. Speculation points to backups, just like the male extras they kept on hand. However, the males all underwent a quarantine period. If Hannah Ann’s slated as a potential replacement if anything else goes wrong, that probably applies to her as well. With producers scrambling around the new season of The Bachelorette, no wonder even guru Reality Steve brings no answers to the table just yet.

While Clare Crawley never planned it this way, certainly, it racks up a huge amount of interest in the show with her ghosting them. If nothing else, even the producers couldn’t have dreamed this up as promo stunt. Do you agree? Sound off in the comments below.
