Malia White wonders why Hannah Ferrier didn’t help chef Kiko with his food

Chef Kiko struggled with his meals ever since the start of Below Deck Med Season 5. His performance got worse as Captain Sandy Yawn closely watched him in the galley. But she claims that she was only doing it to help him succeed. She became his cheerleader and even helped him out. In an upcoming preview, Malia talks to Sandy about Kiko’s performance. She feels that Hannah is partly to blame for Vegas night.

“If you want to be his friend, why let the food go out and let him get s***y feedback,” Malia tells Sandy, referring to Hannah.

The chief stew tried to support Kiko on several occasions. She even offered suggestions for Vegas night. She knew he could lose his job if his cooking didn’t live up to superyacht standards. But Vegas night turned into a disaster. Kiko told Sandy he had to Google what Vegas dining was.

Hannah offered suggestions, such as French fries and cheesy nachos.  He ended up cooking a dinner that was more for a “kid’s birthday party.” In the end, Kiko threatens to leave after finishing out the charter. It seems like there’s a miscommunication problem between Hannah and Kiko.

What does the Below Deck Med star really think of chef Kiko?

The Below Deck Med star previously shared her thoughts on chef Kiko. She revealed who she would rather have as her personal chef on Watch What Happens Live. She previously worked with chef Adam Glick during Season 2 of Below Deck Mediterranean. Not only did the two hit it off, but they also ended up in a love triangle.

Now, Malia is working with a different chef on Season 5. Host Andy Cohen asked her whose cooking she prefers during a game called “How Do You Crew?” on July 13. As per Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Malia immediately answered, “Kiko.”

Malia also addressed her oceanside fling with Adam during an interview on The Daily Dish podcast. She joked that she may have “dodged a bullet” after hearing about his relationship with chief stew Jenna MacGillivray on Season 1 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. The Bravo star made it clear that they’re not on friendly terms these days. But that doesn’t mean that they’re feuding.

“I wish him well, though,” Malia said in another interview with The Daily Dish. “I have no hard feelings towards Adam.”

Below Deck Med airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
