It’s an RHOBH dad war. Denise Richards’ father is coming to her defense after Teddi Mellencamp’s famous father threw shade at her co-stars. TV Shows Ace previously reported that both Teddi Mellencamp and her father John Mellencamp threw shade at Denise Richards.

The “Small Town” singer referred to Denise as “Dennis Richards” and said he never heard of her. Denise fired back at Teddi and John’s joke on social media. Now her father, Irving Richards, is coming to his daughter’s defense. Sharing a sweet photo with his famous daughter, he shot down the rumors that she’s the type of woman who would lie about her personal life.

Denise Richards’ dad shuts down Brandi Glanville rumors

As per The Blast, Denise Richards’ father, Irving Richards, shared a black-and-white photo of his daughters. In the caption, he revealed that he’s proud of the way that his daughter has handled the drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. During Season 10, viewers witnessed Denise Richards taking shots from every one of her co-stars. The latest comes from Brandi Glanville, who alleges that she hooked up with the Wild Things actress on several occasions behind Aaron Phyper’s back.

On Wednesday night’s episode, Brandi told Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp that Denise is “not who she pretends to be.” Before talking about the alleged affair, she shared comments she allegedly made about Teddi Mellencamp.

“She doesn’t like you at all,” Brandi said to Teddi, as per The Daily Dish. “She’s said horrible things about you. You’re obnoxious, you’ll do anything to be in this group because you’ve lived under your dad’s shadow your whole life…it was just mean.”

In the throwback post, Irving captioned the shot by writing, “Found this cute photo cleaning out some boxes. The sisters having a fun day.” He admitted that he was always “tough” on his daughters, but it allowed them to “become strong, honest, independent women.”

He also shared that he’s been keeping up with the drama on RHOBH. He’s proud of the way that Denise has handled herself this season.

“After watching a few RHOBH episodes I think we did a damn good job,” Irving added. “Stay strong, push forward, don’t live in fear. Life is short.”

Denise reposted the photo and included a sweet message for her father. “love you Pa. thank you,” she added with the heart and prayer emojis.

Teddi Mellencamp and John Mellencamp threw shade at Denise Richards

Shortly after Wednesday night’s episode, Teddi Mellencamp responded to Denise’s alleged comments on Twitter. She joked, “Alexa, play ‘Shadow’ by Ashlee Simpson.” Then, she shared a screenshot of her conversation with her father, John Mellencamp. John’s message read, “I know you are busy living in my shadow but…” and included a photo of the father and daughter duo, adding, “Dennis Richards – never heard of him.”

Teddi responded to her father’s text with, “You know who DENISE is dad.” Denise didn’t like Teddi and John’s conversation. She took to Instagram to slam the RHOBH costar. She reposted Teddi’s conversation with the caption, “I never said you live in your dad’s shadow. Ever, I don’t care what you were told.” However, Denise deleted the post shortly after sharing it with her followers.

Denise Richards denies Brandi Glanville affair rumors

Denise Richards also addressed the biggest scandal of this season. In a new interview with the Washington Post, the 49-year-old actress denied Brandi’s claims about their alleged hookup. She then teased that all will be revealed later on this season.

“I did not have an affair,” Denise flatly told the newspaper. “There’s definitely consistency with the subject matter that comes up on this Housewives season, and that’s all I’ll say.”

As for Brandi’s claims that Denise and Aaron have an open marriage?

“If I had an open marriage, I would be open about it,” Denise said.

The reality star admits that her comments about Aaron’s manhood and jokes about happy ending massages “definitely bit me in the a** a bit.” Her “openness” last season has led her to become more private. Denise also wants to make it clear that she’s not the woman she portrayed on Wild Things.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
