New Wedding Makeover Show to Air on Lifetime

Wedding show from Lifetime

It’s been a rough wedding season this year. The Coronavirus pandemic has virtually put a stop to the wedding. For those feeling little bummed out these days, there’s some good news for you. Lifetime plans to air a new wedding makeover show. Happily Ever Altered hits the small screen tonight at 10 PM, eastern time.

A Wedding Makeover Show … With a Twist

The bride and groom will receive transformational makeovers. However, it comes with a catch.

The press release says, “The catch is that they are completely separated from one another, from the start of their transformational surgeries, all the way through their physical and emotional healing, and up to their wedding day where they’ll reveal their new look to each other right before the ceremony!”

The first episode follows Matt and Alexa. Alexa is a little self-conscious about her weight and wants to do something to fix it. In turn, Matt plans to have his own cosmetic procedures.

Happily Ever Altered explores fears and physical insecurities couples have as they prepare to walk down the aisle. I think we can all relate to those fears. What do you think will happen? Will the couple say “I do” or walk away?

The Year of Postponed Nuptials

This year has definitely been difficult for engaged couples. Even celebrities like Sarah Hyland and Bindi Irwin both altered their wedding plans because of the pandemic. Even though everyone is struggling, each couple handles it a little differently.

For example, Bindi and her husband, Chandler Powell, opted to go through with their wedding plans anyway. However, they scaled things down quite a bit and chose to only have immediate family members present. On the other hand, Sarah and her fiance, Wells Adams, are completely postponing wedding events until it is safe to gather again. The positive thing is both couples seem to be quite happy with their decision and are very much in love.

Sarah Hyland says, “I think right now there are more important things to worry about.” Instead of planning their wedding, Sarah and Wells are enjoying spending their time alone in quarantine. To celebrate the anniversary of their engagement, they dressed up, cooked at home, and watched Hamilton on Disney+.

These are wonderful reminders to other couples struggling to make a decision about their weddings. At the end of the day, if you really love one another, that’s all that counts.

Will you tune in to Happily Ever Altered tonight? If you watch, let us know what you think. We’re really excited to get our wedding fix any way we can right now. As always, remember to keep checking back with TV Shows Ace for all the latest TV and celebrity news.
