It’s no secret that the singer likes to keep it real. During her virtual appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Sunday, July 19, she talked to the hosts on a wide variety of topics relating to her pregnancy. Katy also revealed how she’s been doing as she anticipates the arrival of her baby with fiancé Orlando Bloom.
Their baby girl will make her arrival in just a few weeks. Read on to learn what Katy has to say about her pregnancy.
Katy Perry is “really grateful” for her pregnancy body
During an appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O radio show, Katy Perry revealed she currently weighs 190 pounds. She’s also at the stage in her pregnancy when “everything is swollen.” But that doesn’t matter because she has fallen in love with her body.
“My hands are swollen, my feet are starting to swell,” Katy said, as per People. “It’s starting to get to that point.”
The Smile singer says her shoe preference these days are sandals. But she has no qualms about being pregnant. In fact, Katy is very happy with her body.
“I’m really grateful for my body and I have so much respect for other women going through this process,” she continued. “You get a whole new viewpoint being pregnant.”
However, pregnancy hasn’t slowed her down. She still wants to work as much as possible. Katy told the hosts that she likes being a “mother on the move.”
“I’m a very active woman and an active mom during this time of COVID – and quite frankly an American revolution – I have been also putting out songs and heading towards putting out a record,” Katy explained. “I’m working really hard. The one blessing is I don’t have to travel extremely, which can really take it out of you.”
The pop star says she wouldn’t be surprised if her daughter is just as lively and energetic. Katy and her fiancé are so similar that their child could become the same.
Singer shuts down Jennifer Aniston godmother rumors
During that same interview, Katy Perry slammed the rumors that she and Orlando Bloom chose Jennifer Aniston as the godmother of their unborn baby. Katy doesn’t mind the rumor. It’s one of the most “fun” rumors she’s had about her.
“She texted us because we are friendly with her, and Orlando is one of her good friends,” the singer said, as per Us Weekly. “We were like, ‘Wow, this is a wild rumor. I mean, God knows with her, she’s had everything said about her. But I guess this is a fun rumor. But no, we have no idea where it came from.”

The singer called the rumor “a product of the media and the internet,” adding, “You should definitely believe everything you read.”
According to the report published on The Mirror, the Friends alum “cried” when Katy and Orlando asked her to be their baby’s godmother. The British tabloid noted that the actress is “very close” to the couple. Back in March, the American Idol judge announced that she and the Lord of the Rings star are expecting their first child together.
In addition to her baby daughter, Katy is also releasing her fifth studio album, Smile, on August 14.
