Zak Bagans ‘Ghost Adventures’ Filming Paused At Joe Exotic Zoo When Dogs Possibly Sniffed Out Human Remains

UPDATE: Law enforcement updated news outlets the remains were that of a small animal with a tail. The remains were not human. The Sheriff’s Office closed the case and left the Wynnewood zoo.  Zak and his crew can resume their paranormal investigation. See original story below.

2020 just keeps getting more bizarre. Zak Bagans and the Ghost Adventures crew are reportedly filming in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at Joe Exotic’s Zoo. The official name of the zoo is Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park. While investigating the zoo, dogs have sniffed out what could be human remains. What started out as a paranormal investigation now turned into an active crime scene.

Zak and the boys are now on location of active crime scene

TMZ shared the news that Zak, along with Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley are filming in Oklahoma. Filming halted due to two dogs sniffing out what is believed to be human remains. The dogs alerted to the same location and their trainer believes it is human remains in the alligator pit. This definitely adds to the investigation.

Jeff Lowe told news outlets the Ghost Adventures crew is investigating at the Tiger King zoo. he also said, dogs were reportedly brought in as part of Zak’s episode they are filming. The dogs are trained cadaver dogs. They picked up on a scent that is now being investigated as human remains.

Deputies are on scene

TMZ shared that deputies are on scene in Garvin County to determine if there are human remains and how to recover them. Sources told TMZ that Joe had previously shared there are ashes of four individuals at the zoo. These four people supposedly wanted the zoo to be their final resting place.

A local Oklahoma news channel has shared OSBI, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, has been requested on scene by deputies. OSBI would not comment as to why they were investigating.

Zak Bagans went to Instagram to share the news as well. He posted a photo of the TMZ story and said, “Our filming location, Joe Exotic Zoo, has just been turned into an active crime scene! 🐯👑 #GhostAdventures.”

Joe Exotic originally owned the zoo and then Jeff Lowe took it over when he was convicted. Joe was convicted for murder for hire and is serving 22 years in prison. Jeff Lowe recently lost a lawsuit which granted the zoo land to Carole Baskins.
