Kanye West Says He’s Running For President In 2020 – Trump Conspiracy?

Kanye West runs for president

Kanye West made or spoiled a lot of people’s days on July 4. He announced on Twitter that he’s running for president. His hashtag, #2020VISION presumably means this November. Celebs like Elon Musk love the idea. But, a common response indicates many people think Trump and Kanye got together and made a plan. Is it a conspiracy to split the vote for Biden?

Kanye West as president – Dez Bryant rolls back on his support

The musician and businessman who married Kim Kardashian tossed out the presidential crumb very casually into the American melting pot. Without fanfare, he simply tweeted, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States.” Reactions vary between total disbelief, to shock at the idea of Kim Kardashian as First Lady.

Elon Musk says he “fully” supports Kanye. Meanwhile, Dez Bryant tweeted, “I’m voting for Kanye west .. I didn’t judge you on your vote don’t judge me on mine.” However, he later retracted that suggesting he just joked. “Please don’t put that much thought until my tweets ease up and laugh a lil.” Later, he replied to Britni Danielle who slammed him for it, saying, ” I can’t help it if I got a sense of humor.” Meanwhile, Kanye West’s friend, John legend simply tweeted about social distancing.

Is this all a joke or a conspiracy between Trump and Kanye?

While Kanye trended, some people seem genuinely shocked at the idea of him as president. Not so much because it’s Kanye, but because Kim Kardashian could end up in the White House. No doubt, Momager and the rest of the clan would be right there with him. But, more astute people pointed towards the whole announcement as a conspiracy by Trump and Kanye. Plenty of people point out that Kanye could pull in enough ballots and split the vote from Biden.

One angry person tweeted, “Kanye West has no intention of wining. He seeks to help Trump. Nobody enters a presidential race 4 months before an election without an intent to sabotage it. Kanye is a known Trunp supporter, he knows he can’t win and he’s only seeking to do America harm. Period, (sic).” Meanwhile, Chip Franklin noted, “Trump probably paid him to do this, so liberals could go crazy telling the world that one of the most popular black rappers is MAGA crazed. It’s a play for Trump to get more black votes & for Kanye to sell albums.”

Another person tweeted, “I don’t know but for some reason, I feel like this is just a ploy to make sure that Joe Biden has less chances of winning with the adding of a 3rd party.” What are your thoughts? Conspiracy or joke? Sound off in the comments below.
