Joy-Anna Duggar Reflects On Losing Daughter In 2019
Duggar fans may recall Counting On alums Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth lost a baby girl in June 2019. This loss came as a shock to the couple. They went to an appointment to find out the baby’s gender. But, sadly, they found out that the baby no longer had a heartbeat.
At the time, she revealed the news to her social media followers. She talked about the sudden and unexpected loss. Her followers offered her love and support. But, of course, it was hard for them to navigate the loss.
Joy-Anna Duggar reflects on loss
Now, a year after the loss of her daughter, Joy is opening up. She shared two photos on Friday, June 26. One of the pictures is of Joy while she was in the hospital. The second one is the last bump picture she took while she was pregnant with Annabell. She reveals that it’s been a year without her daughter.
The Duggar daughter writes, “It’s been a year since we found out that we lost Annabell.
I remember leaving our ultrasound appointment, sobbing and wondering how we were ever going to move forward, and so fearful of having to deliver her.”
Then, she continues, “It hurts to look back at these pictures and remember the pain and heartbreak, but when I do look back I am so thankful for how far we’ve come… how God has given us more joy, peace, & healing than I ever thought we would have again.”

In response, Joy’s followers are commenting that they are praying for her. They’re also wishing her the best on her current pregnancy. They are also thanking her for being so open about her loss and helping others through similar situations.
In her post, Joy also takes a moment to thank her followers for all of the love and support.
Joy and Austin expecting new baby girl
After suffering the loss of Annabell, Joy and Austin took some time before growing their family again. The couple recently revealed that they are having a baby girl. Now, Joy is 32 weeks pregnant.
When the baby arrives, she will join her two-year-old brother Gideon. Joy says that they won’t be naming the baby until she’s born.
