Amy King Remembers Grandma Duggar One Year Later

On social media Tuesday, Amy King shared a new post. In her post, she reflects on the death of Grandma Mary Duggar, who passed away a year ago. Amy shares a photo of herself laying on the grass. Above her head is a collection of colorful flowers in the shape of a rainbow.

The Duggar cousin then writes, “There was a beautiful rainbow the day my Gma went to be with the Lord. Another beautiful rainbow on her funeral.day.. it’s been a year ago today since we’ve lost you…. I miss you every single day, but there’s no doubt in my mind I’ll see you again. I know you are in paradise… so until then I’ll smile when I look up at the sky, every burst of color reminds me of you.. 🌈

For those who may not know, Amy is the niece of Jim Bob Duggar. So, she is the kids’ cousin. Though Amy is related to the Duggars, she doesn’t consider herself to be a Duggar. She is quite different from the rest of the family. While she’s religious, she doesn’t adhere to some of the same guidelines and values the rest of the family does.

Amy seems to be very loved by fans of the Counting On family. She has 405,000 followers on Instagram, and many of those followers are fans of her famous family. In response to her latest photo, she’s getting a lot of love. Even though fans didn’t know Grandma Mary personally, they felt some sort of connection to her. So, they can sympathize with Amy over the loss. They let her know that they are always thinking of her.

Grandma Mary Duggar’s death

Grandma Mary tragically passed away on June 9, 2019. She slipped into the pool and drowned. The family was very shocked and saddened by the unexpected death. According to the family, Mary was in good health at the time of her death.

Despite the sadness the family feels over the loss of Mary, they have a lot to celebrate. Several babies joined the family in 2019. Plus, throughout the grieving process, the family has been surrounded by their followers and fans. They also trust in God to get them through these difficult times.

Since Mary’s death, Amy has shared several social media posts about her. Amy and Mary were very close, so Amy took the loss especially hard. Recently, Amy shared a sweet message about her grandmother on her birthday.
