Welcome to Plathville star, Olivia Plath opted not to share the black square post that many other social media users. The black square is a symbol of solidarity in regards to the Black Lives Matter protests. About a week ago, she also decided to opt-out of sharing BLM hashtags. Instead, she told her fans that other voices needed their ears. But, this weekend, she returned and shared a post about the protests and life in the USA. She seemed a bit nervous about it and she felt a “little hesitant to post.”
Welcome to Plathville – Olivia’s not scared of talking out against her mother-in-law
Olivia seldom seems very hesitant when it comes to an opinion. In fact, she revealed a lot of things about herself that fans never saw on the show. She said in February that she loves a “heated debate.” On an Instagram post, she wrote, “I don’t mind a heated discussion.” She also enjoys researching things and knowing her subject, especially if she feels deeply about it. But notably, Olivia never got into heated discussions about Black Lives Matter and the death of George Floyd.
Welcome to Plathville fans know that Olivia’s very outspoken when it comes to her mother-in-law, Kim Plath. People reported that Olivia said she “felt very negative about Kim.” Olivia later slammed Kim after the show ended on social media. So, fans know she’s not afraid to confront issues. But, it seems that Olivia, like many other celebs from reality TV, feels a bit hesitant about sharing during the Geoge Floyd protests. Many of them get slammed no matter which stance they take.
Olivia admits she’s ‘hesitant’ on current George Floyd protests
In her second post about BLM, Olivia shared, “To be honest, I’m…a little hesitant to post on my feed because I don’t want to look as though I’m turning a blind eye or not caring.” Olivia then noted, people “should not and cannot go back to normal.” She also said that she wants “love” for “everyone, regardless of their skin color… ethnicity, their religious beliefs, or their lifestyle.” At the same time, Olivia feels that she still goes through a “learning” experience, and wants to know more.
The Welcome to Plathville star ended by saying she hopes for a “better world and a bigger heart.” Plenty of her fans liked the post that Olivia shared. One said, “Beautiful words. We need more people in the world to express how they feel. Love your work & how you support others. x💐💐❤️🙌.” Another fan wondered why people can’t say what they “really feel” anymore. “You do you and who cares what others think. You’re an amazing soul ❤️,” another fan commented.

I muted my feed this past week because it didn’t feel right to celebrate and promote my job while so many other important things needed to be addressed. To be honest, I’m still a little hesitant to post on my feed because I don’t want to look as though I’m turning a blind eye or not caring 💔 . However, life has to go on. It should not and cannot go back to normal because we need to apply what we are learning and strive to bring more love, more equality and more justice to our society. . I am coming back to Instagram with fresh perspective and new insight on how to better celebrate and love everyone, regardless of their skin color, their ethnicity, their religious beliefs, or their lifestyle. I want more diversity on my feed, and more diversity in my life. I want to get out of my own damn box and experience the world and the beautiful people in it through others eyes and hearts ❤️🤎💛🖤🤍 . I have so much further to go. So much more to learn. So much more to experience. But I’m really, really grateful that I can do it alongside all of y’all. . So here’s to the new normal! A better world and a bigger heart ♥️
One fan summed it up for the Welcome to Plathville star. They noted, “your fans know you have a good heart and would never be disrespectful.” So it certainly sounds like Olivia didn’t need to hesitate too much, after all.
