Amy King Shares Heartfelt Post On Grandma Mary Duggar’s Birthday
On Tuesday, May 26, Amy King shared a special post on social media. Tuesday is Grandma Mary Duggar’s first birthday since her passing in 2019. The picture features Amy hugging her grandmother. The two of them were very close. So, the loss has been difficult for Amy, as well as the rest of the family. Grandma Mary was Jim Bob Duggar’s mother. His sister Deanna Duggar Jordan is Amy’s mother.
In her new post, Amy writes, “We are celebrating you today down here.. with Cracker Barrel, strawberry shortcake & shopping your absolute favorite on your birthday! I miss you every single day. Happy Birthday to my angel in Heaven”

Anna Duggar commented on the post, saying, “Awww.” Jill Dillard left a couple of emojis, including a heart and a crying face. Tons of fans are also commenting so they can let Amy know they’re thinking of her on this day. The family’s fans are very supportive, especially during sad moments like these.
Michelle and Jim Bob mention Grandma Mary Duggar’s birthday
On Tuesday, Ivy Seewald, granddaughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, celebrated her first birthday. In Jim Bob and Michelle’s birthday post for Ivy, they mention Grandma Mary. They write, “We sure are missing your birthday buddy, Great Grandma Mary. We pray that you will grow up to continue her godly legacy!”

On their Instagram stories, they also shared a picture of their daughter Josie with Grandma Mary. The family says that they are missing Grandma Mary.
The Duggar family also shared about Grandma Mary on Mother’s Day, as it was the first Mother’s Day without her there. Though the family is very positive about the memories they have with her, the loss is still difficult for them to deal with. It seems that many of the family members were very close to Mary.
Grandma Mary passed away in 2019
Grandma Mary’s death was very unexpected. She passed away shortly after her birthday in 2019 due to a drowning incident. Her death came as a shock to Duggar fans too. Many were very saddened by the news.
Her funeral was shown during an episode of Counting On, as some fans will recall. Over the years, Grandma Mary has appeared on the family’s shows on TLC. So, even fans came to know and love her.
