Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen just celebrated their two-year engagement. Now, most couples don’t celebrate their engagement. Nor do they want to be reminded that they haven’t taken the next step in their relationship. But this couple doesn’t seem to mind.
Instead of dwelling on it, they dedicated sweet posts to each other on Instagram. Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen are happy with their situation. The Bachelorette couple celebrated the two-year anniversary of their engagement on Monday, May 11. Read on to learn more about their unique occasion.
The Bachelorette alums celebrate their 2-year engagement on Instagram
Per People, Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen celebrated the two-year anniversary of their engagement with their millions of followers. It all started when Kufrin shared a photo of the couple’s proposal in the Maldives, which took place during the season finale of The Bachelorette in August 2018.
“Hey @gy_yrigoyen, remember when you opened the ring box backward? That’s when I knew I was in for the time of my life,” Kufrin wrote. “Two years down, hopefully 68 more to go. I love you G.”

“Of course I opened it backward, I have to keep you guessing :)” Yrigoyen commented on Kufrin’s post. “I love you too.”
The reality star also shared a photo of the two hugging in the water. The steamy photo shows Kufrin going in for a kiss. She also shows off her dazzling engagement ring.

“I learned precisely 730 new things about you and from you,” Yrigoyen wrote. “Something new every day. Happy 2 year, love you B.”
After their appearance on The Bachelorette, the couple moved into an apartment together in San Diego, California. They want to take things slow as they figure out the right time for both of them to say, “I do.”
Becca Kufrin doesn’t want to “pressure” Garrett into getting married
Last December, Becca Kufrin revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she doesn’t want to “pressure” Garrett Yrigoyen into getting married. The Bachelorette also explained why they decided to hit pause on their wedding plans. Both of them have so much on their plate that they don’t want a wedding to add to the stress. They would rather get married when their lives settle down.
“We just have so much going on, and we’ve still been traveling like crazy that we’re just dragging our feet,” Kufrin explained. “Especially knowing how crazy my life is going to be with [Bachelor: Live on Stage] tour coming up and all of that, and working on the loungewear line, I think we’re just taking our time.”

Since Yrigoyen previously married and divorced, she doesn’t want to rush him or “pressure [him] into anything.” The couple is fine with where their relationship is at. Kufrin and Yrigoyen will continue to navigate their relationship to see where it takes them. They could get married sooner or later. But it’s not a priority right now.
However, they have thought about their plans for their big day. Kufrin admitted they want a “massive party.” They don’t want a boring wedding. When they do get married, they will party hard.
