’90 Day Fiancé’ Star David Doesn’t Believe Lana Is Catfishing Him

90 Day Fiancé stars David Murphy and Lana have known each other online for seven years. That is a pretty long time, but despite many attempts to meet her in person, David has had no success. David travels to Ukraine in an effort to meet the love of his life, only to find she is not there. He confesses he truly believed he would have returned to the US as an engaged man, but it wasn’t to be. It has since been proven Lana is catfishing him, but David still won’t believe this.

90 Day Fiancé star believes Lana is real

As noted accurately by Starcasm, David and Yolanda are running a race for the two biggest chumps on 90 Day Fiancé. Yolanda has her mysterious British lover and David has his Ukrainian girl.

Despite the fact he hasn’t been able to see Lana face-to-face during the seven-year period, David still believes she is the woman for him. When he got back home he told his friend Jim what he’d been up to. Jim isn’t surprised at all that his pal couldn’t find the Ukrainian. His friend knows she is not the real thing.

While David doesn’t believe Lana is catfishing him, he says he will hire a private investigator. This is to find out why Lana is lying to him. He also wants some closure in the relationship.  That is unlikely, as Jim tells David that Lana isn’t real and she is scamming him.

According to David, he has known Lana for seven years, therefore she must be the real deal. Jim finally agrees it is a good idea to hire the P.I. He hopes that following this, David will finally realize the truth.

Private investigator reveals Lana is a scammer

The private investigator gathers information about Lana, proving she is scamming Murphy. David’s friend Victoria translates the information gathered by the P.I. and it is clear she is not real.

For one thing, the P.I. notes Lana’s profile photo is being used across several social media accounts. The alleged “Lana” also has accounts on a number of dating sites, where she catfishes multiple men at the same time.

David is also warned that catfishing is a common practice in Ukraine. Many Ukrainian women scam men from all over the globe. Even with this information, however, Murphy doesn’t accept the truth. He says the P.I. doesn’t know Lana as well as he does.

David even goes so far as to justify the multiple dating site accounts, saying someone is stealing her image to use it under another name. Victoria continues to try and convince him of the truth, telling him to move on and carry on with his life. She asks David how much longer he will keep on lying to himself.
