‘7 Little Johnstons’ Preview: Trent Defends His Family
On the latest episode of 7 Little Johnstons, the adventurous family locked up their phones and spent some time outside. The next episode, which airs on TLC this Tuesday, May 5 at 10 p.m. ET, highlights a family road trip. The family travels in their RV to San Francisco for the annual Little People of America conference. On the way there, they are faced by observers who make some rude comments about the family. So, Trent Johnston steps in to stand up to the bullies. Trent and Amber Johnston talk about how they handle these kinds of situations with the kids. The episode also features moments from the family’s time in the RV and a visit with Amber’s family.

7 Little Johnstons dad stands up for his family
On the way to San Francisco, the family stops at a park to take a break. While enjoying some family time, Trent notices three men looking their way and causing a scene. He realizes that the men are talking about his family and that other people are looking at the family, too. Monsters & Critics shared an exclusive preview from 7 Little Johnstons, in which the kids tell Trent to stay out of it. However, he refuses to let people get away with making fun of his family.
When confronted by Trent, one man acts respectfully and listens to Trent. Unfortunately, the other two aren’t so polite. While Trent deals with the situation, Amber stays back with the kids and watches from a distance.
In this episode of 7 Little Johnstons, Trent and Amber talk about how they explain these types of situations to their kids. They mention that they are open with their kids and tell them about the reality of the world. Amber says, “As parents, that’s our job – to remind the kids. You know, yes, there are still very ignorant people in this world and very disrespectful people in this world.” She also emphasizes the importance of focusing on the more understanding and educated people in the world. It seems that Trent tried to set an example for his kids by standing up to the men.
The family visits Amber’s hometown
The family’s road trip started in Georgia and is expected to take about two weeks. This episode reveals highlights from the first week of the trip. In addition to Trent’s confrontation, this episode of 7 Little Johnstons includes clips from the family’s time in the RV. Fans can also watch Amber show her kids the town where she grew up.
