The Bachelor and Married at First Sight star Jamie Otis will soon become a mom for the second time. She’s currently 37 weeks pregnant. She and her husband Doug Hehner have a two-year-old daughter, Henley.

On her Instagram stories on Tuesday evening, Jamie documented her family’s walk around the neighborhood. In one story, she says, “By the way, we have really big news to share, because we finally have a name for this little guy.” In the background of the video, Doug jokes around and asks, “We do?” Jamie says that they took a video and Henley reveal the baby’s name. They promised to share the video just a couple hours later.

The couple has had a hard time coming up with a name for their baby boy. And, his arrival is right around the corner. So, this is an exciting time for the couple. They’re happy to share the little guy’s name just days or weeks before he’s born.

In a YouTube video, the family of three reveals the baby boy’s name. They involved Henley in a game of Hangman to make the big announcement. By the end of the game, the family has spelled out the name Hayes. Doug jokes that they should play another round of Hangman for the middle name, but Jamie is quick to announce that the baby’s middle name is Douglas.

Jamie Otis plans on a home birth

Due to the coronavirus, Jamie and Doug have decided that a home birth is the best option. They weighed the pros and cons, finding that the pros outweigh the cons. So, they are all set for a home birth. Ultimately, it seems that they made this decision to ensure mom and baby don’t get infected. Plus, many parents-to-be are having to give birth with only one support person. Heavy restrictions are in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Originally, Jamie planned to give birth at the hospital.

For a few days, Jamie and Doug were concerned that the home birth might not happen. Jamie was required to get tested for coronavirus prior to having a home birth. If her test didn’t come back negative, she’d have to give birth in the hospital. She’d also have to give birth in the hospital if her test didn’t come back before she went into labor. So, she had a stressful few days. If Jamie had the coronavirus, she’d have to be separated from her son for two weeks.

Fortunately, Jamie’s test came back negative. So, she’s able to have the home birth she planned on. Now, it’s only a matter of time until the baby boy arrives.

So, what do you think of the baby’s name? Share your thoughts below.
