Fans Praise Anna Duggar After Mackynzie Wears Pants
On Monday evening, Anna Duggar shared a new picture of three of her kids. Anna is married to Josh Duggar, and they have six children total. This new picture features Mackynzie, 10, Michael, 8, and Marcus, 6. These are Josh and Anna’s three eldest children. In the picture, they are standing outside together.
In the post, the mom wonders how her kids grew up so quickly. And, fans in the comments have the same question. They’re definitely growing up fast. But, fans aren’t only focusing on how quickly the kids seem to be growing. They also noticed that Mackynzie is wearing pants.

In the photo, Mackynzie is wearing a yellow long-sleeved dress, a burgundy vest, blue jeans, and rain boots. This is a bit of a shock to fans due to Mackynzie being a part of the Duggar family.
The Duggar girls don’t wear pants
The women and girls in the Duggar family don’t wear pants. This is because they are trying to stay modest. By wearing skirts and dresses, they are not wearing tight-fitting clothing.
Michelle talked about this in 2013, saying, “As we studied as a family, we found we could come up with our idea of what we thought modesty was, but we really wanted to see what the scriptures said about it. Our interpretation was that from the neck down to the knee should be covered. By keeping those private areas covered, there’s not any ‘defrauding’ going on. My kids are taught the definition of defrauding as stirring up desires that cannot be righteously fulfilled. We don’t believe in defrauding others by the way we dress.”
Over the years, as the girls have gotten married, they have started to make their own decisions. Some of the married Duggar women choose to wear pants. Some of those who wear pants include Jessa Seewald, Jinger Vuolo, and Jill Dillard. They seem to be figuring things out for themselves and wearing what they’re comfortable in.
Fans praise Anna for letting Mackynzie wear pants
Because of Anna’s post, her social media followers are applauding her parenting choice. They think that it’s great that Anna is letting Mackynzie wear pants if she wants to. One of Anna’s followers says, “So glad you’re allowing your daughter some freedom of dress.”
Some Duggar fans are pointing out that the girls do sometimes wear jeans under their dresses for extra warmth though. So, maybe Anna is just trying to keep her daughter warm. Anna isn’t replying to any of the comments on her post about her daughter wearing pants. So, fans may not find out what’s going on with that. But, they do like that Mackynzie is wearing jeans in the latest photo and hope she gets more fashion choices in the future.
