The Duggar family often does at-home haircuts

If you’re a longtime fan of the Duggars, you will likely recall their motto. They suggest to “buy used and save the difference.” They love to save money however they can. And, with 19 kids, at-home haircuts are a huge money-saver.

When Abbie Burnett was courting John-David Duggar, she had the opportunity to give him an at-home haircut too. This was a sweet bonding moment, but it’s also just something that John’s family does.

In one YouTube video, Jessa reveals how long she’s been cutting hair. She says, “I am not a professional, but I have been cutting hair for my brothers, their friends, family, for a little over a decade now, and I really enjoy it.”

Jessa has been sharing haircut tutorials on YouTube. She showed how she cuts each member of her family’s hair. She’s even cut her husband Ben’s hair, which fans love. With Jessa’s helpful videos, fans can feel a little more confident cutting hair at home. In Jessa’s recent post, she says, “During this time of quarantine, if you find yourself needing to cut your boy’s hair for the first time, do not be intimidated. You can do this! Isn’t as complicated as it might seem.

Most of Jessa’s social media followers appreciate these tutorials, but some question how good they are. After all, she didn’t go to cosmetology school. She learned to cut hair after cutting her siblings’ hair.
