‘Sister Wives’: Janelle Brown Believes Parenting Is Easier For Polygamists
Sister Wives star Janelle Brown insists parenting is easier for those in a polygamist relationship.
A sneak preview from tonight’s episode of Sister Wives reveals Janelle Brown and Christine Brown getting along well. Janelle gushes about how grateful she is for Christine.
Janelle Brown believes monogamists don’t have the same luxuries her family does.
During tonight’s episode… Sister Wives fans will see Janelle’s daughter Maddie prepare for giving birth. Fans also see Christine come by to help Maddie and Janelle prepare for the day.
“I’m glad that Christine’s here now. It’s just extremely helpful to me to have another person here. What do monogamists do? Monogamists don’t have that luxury.” Janelle gushed.
“The way that our family came together. The roles weren’t so ‘These are my kids, these are your kids,’ We’ve always been pretty compatible and our children have always been born neck and neck — like, you had one, I had one. … Christine and I did a lot more coteam, coparenting, just because we had the bulk of the children.”
Janelle Brown reveals that she and Christine formed a unique bond over parenting. They had the bulk of the children in their polygamist relationship. So, they did a significant amount of teaming up to handle the children.
And, as the saying goes, “it takes a village to raise a child.” So, Janelle Brown remains eternally grateful to have the extra parenting support.

Maddie is also closer to Christine Brown compared to Meri or Robyn.
Observing the dynamics of the family… Maddie is certainly closer to Christine Brown compared to Robyn or Meri. Janelle, however, seemed to have an explanation for why Christine was more involved as well. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear as if there were any dramatic reasons why. Christine Brown was simply the most available sister wife. Robyn and Meri were just too busy to drop everything and help Janelle with Maddie during this time.
“Robyn has her hands full in Flagstaff, Meri works like a maniac. So it just made a lot of sense for a lot of seasons for Christine to be the one that came out.”
As fans will recall… Janelle married Kody back in 1993. She had six children with him. Their children include: Logan, 25, Maddie, Hunter, 23, Robert, 21, Gabriel, 18 and Savanah, 15.
Christine married Kody just a year later. She also had six children with him. Her children include: Aspyn, 25, Mykelti, 23, Paedon, 21, Gwendlyn, 18, Ysabel, 16, and Truely, 9.
