As Bachelor Nation knows, Bachelor star Michelle Money is going through a difficult time. Her 15-year-old daughter Brielle was in a terrible skateboarding accident. As TV Shows Ace last reported, Brielle is in stable condition. Michelle plans on continuing to update her social media followers as things progress.

At this point, Michelle hasn’t given all of the details of Brielle’s accident. She did mention that Brielle was found when her neighbors went on a walk and called 911. She also urged parents to, “ALWAYS MAKE THEM WEAR THE HELMET. ALWAYS. EVEN WHEN THEY PUSH BACK.

Michelle Money gives advice to be a “parent first, friend second”

Michelle seems to be very passionate about kids wearing helmets after her daughter’s accident. And, it sounds like that would have prevented some of the injuries that Brielle has. In a new video, she says she should have physically put the helmet on her daughter. She said that her daughter talked her out of putting the helmet on.

In the IGTV video, Michelle talks about being a parent before being a friend. Due to her divorce, she wanted to make things easier on Brielle. So, she chose to be her daughter’s friend. She said, “We can’t afford to be friends first with our children in this world.” She adds, “If I could go back and change that, I would.”

In her 5-and-a-half minute video, Michelle Money talks about how she’s feeling. She talks about how she should’ve monitored her daughter better on social media. She says, “Make it your job for your kids to hate you. Be that good of a parent.”

In her caption, she writes, “I’m feeling mad and disappointed in myself today. I know it’s not helpful in this situation but it’s where I’m at. Raising Brielle as a single mom with 50/50 custody has made it difficult to ever want to argue with her. I only get her half of the week. I’ve made being her friend more important than being her mom. I regret a lot of things today. I hope this can be a strong reminder to make it your job to parent first. They will love you eventually. Keep them safe first. In all aspects. Put the helmet on.

Michelle’s Instagram followers give her support
