Duggars Help With Arkansas Tornado Cleanup
A tornado tore through Jonesboro, Arkansas on Saturday. The damage is pretty serious, but no deaths have been reported, as mentioned by CNN. There are 22 injuries from the tornado. Now, it’s time to clean everything up. In addition to authorities working to clean up the debris, some of the Duggar kids are pitching in to help. This isn’t the first time they’ve volunteered to help with relief efforts.
Jana, Jed, and other Duggar kids help out
On social media Wednesday, Jana Duggar shared a post. She talks about how important Arkansas is to her, saying, “Arkansas is an immensely special place to me. It is HOME!” Then, she goes on to talk about feeling like she needed to go help. She adds, “So when a tornado hit Jonesboro, Arkansas, last weekend I knew I wanted to volunteer to help those who had lost their homes. My heart goes out to the families, businesses and communities affected by the tornado! But I know from experience that people in Arkansas come together, and I was proud to see so many people there to offer a helping hand!”

At the end of her social media post, she says that she’s praying for those who have been impacted by the tornado. Her post also features pictures of herself and the Medic Corps helping with the cleanup. Medic Corps is a non-profit organization that Jana, her brothers, and some of the Bates kids are a part of. They volunteer in different areas. Lawson Bates went to Tennessee at the beginning of March to help with tornado cleanup there.

Where in Arkansas do the Duggars live?
After Duggar fans heard that there was a tornado in Arkansas, some of them grew worried. Well, fans of the 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On family can relax a little bit. The family lives in Tonitown, Arkansas, so they weren’t directly affected by the tornado. Because their family is okay, they thought that this would be a good opportunity to help those who need it right now.
