Jessa Duggar Seewald dropped a major hint about her future births while talking about her kids’ births. In a YouTube video, she detailed their births, which TV Shows Ace reported on. As fans know, Jessa opts for natural births at home. But, maybe things are changing, which comes as a shock to her followers.

Jessa has had challenging births

As she talks about in her video, her home births weren’t necessarily easy. After Spurgeon, her first child, was born in 2015, she spoke with PEOPLE. She said, “It was very intense, very long. Everything was different than I expected.” After he was born, she had to go to the hospital due to excessive bleeding. While she stayed at the hospital over night, she had a blood transfusion.

Her second birth went smoothly. Baby Henry was born at home in 2017. Then, in 2019, Baby Ivy was born at home too. Jessa did have to go to the hospital again.

Duggar daughter isn’t opposed to using modern medicine

After hearing about Jessa’s difficult birth, fans can understand why she might be willing to change things up next time around. When Jessa put out her video, she revealed that she hopes to have more children. She said, “Natural childbirth doesn’t make me any more of a woman, nor do I think it’s the only way birth should be done. I have nothing against hospitals or epidurals— and in fact, I may give both a try if God were to bless us with another baby in the future. ”

So, it seems that Jessa might be branching out and giving an epidural a chance. She may not be pregnant too soon. Her kids have been born in odd-numbered years: 2015, 2017, and 2019. So, if she plans to space the next one out the same distance, the next baby will be born in 2021. Perhaps, if Jessa shares that birth, she will have had an epidural.

The Duggars aren’t necessarily against hospital births or modern medicine. Several of Jessa’s sisters and sisters-in-law have given birth in a hospital. They’ve also gotten epidurals. The girls actually had a conversation about this after Abbie gave birth in January. At the time, Jessa joked about needing to get an epidural “next time.” When she said it, fans assumed she was simply joking, because she’s always had her kids at home. Duggar fans thought she might’ve just been trying to be a part of the conversation. Based on what she’s saying now, it seems that it’s possible she’ll actually get an epidural.

What do you think of Jessa’s new idea? Do you see her following through with it? Share your thoughts below.
