Duggar: Jill Dillard Really Seems To Be In A Good Place With Husband Derick
Duggar fans think there’s some estrangement between Jill Dillard and her parents these days. Derick’s been spilling some tea about how she can’t even see her sisters without Jim Bob’s permission. He’s critical of Jim Bob and the filming contracts, which he says they never got paid for. Possibly she feels stuck between her two families. But, it looks like even if her parents don’t approve of Derick, she’s in a really good place with him.
Duggar fans saw Jill was grateful to be allowed to visit her family
It seems crazy to fans of TLC that Jill needs permission to see her siblings. And, some fans think it’s odd that she even feels grateful to see them at all. TV Shows Ace reported that when Jinger and Felicity Vuolo went to Arkansas, Jill got in some time with her sisters. When one fan said rather sarcastically, “Glad you were ‘allowed’ to visit with them,” and both Jill and Derick liked the comment.
But back home, she and Derick seem solid. Even if Jim Bob’s got a big downer on Derick, she stays loyal and obviously in love. Monsters and Critics noted that her birthday post to Derick was particularly “mushy.” Interestingly, Katie Joy of Without A Crystal Ball on YouTube, noted that even Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wished him a happy birthday. They never gushed about how they love him. But, they did acknowledge that he looks after their daughter. It seems she really appreciates her man for that as well.
Jill gushes about Derick – looks in a good place
Jill’s birthday post for Derick came overflowing with words like “hero” and “handsome.” She noted in part, “Yesterday was this handsome fella’s birthday! 😍 I love you so much @derickdillard.” She also said, “You’re my hero and my best friend! 🥰.” Fans wished Derick a “happy birthday,” and a few others also talked about the couple.
One Duggar follower noted, “I love that your such an example of how wives should [love] there husbands. Happy birthday Derrick, (sic).” Another person wrote, “Awww. You guys look great! Happy Birthday Derick!” One fan wrote, “Jill – you are beautiful in & out. Be yourself – always, & happy birthday to your husband.” Others talked about how very happy they look whenever they’re together.

Some fans think that Jim Bob actually arranged the meet and marriage between Jill and Derick. That came a long time ago now, but if Derick really was his choice, he certainly chose someone his daughter could love very deeply. What do you think? Sound off your thoughts in the comments below.
