Duggar: Jessa Provides An Update On Henry’s Speech
Duggar fans have been patiently awaiting an update on Henry Seewald’s speech. Henry is Ben and Jessa’s middle child, and he recently turned three. The family made his speech delays known to their followers. But, updates about his speech haven’t been shared broadly. The family tends to share about his speech while answering comments on Instagram. They don’t dedicate entire social media posts to the topic.
Jessa shared a new video of Ivy recently, but a fan asked about Henry and his speech. One of Jessa’s followers commented on how beautiful the kids are and then asked, “Wondering, how is Henry’s speech, now that Ivy is speaking a bit?”
In response, the Duggar daughter said, “Henry went from practically no words on his 2nd birthday, to being caught up now as he’s turning 3! Praising the Lord for this answer to our prayers. ❤️”
Then, several of Jessa’s followers shared how happy they are for the family and for little Henry. Since revealing that Henry has speech difficulties, Jessa has begun sharing some of the cute and funny things he says. She does the same for his four-year-old brother Spurgeon. It’ll be a little while before Ivy starts saying complete phrases or sentences, but fans are excited to see what funny things that Ivy comes up with.
Jessa reveals Henry has speech delays
In December, Jessa opened up about her son‘s delays with his speech, saying, “We realized probably since thee age of 18 months old that he wasn’t communicating like his older brother did at that age or other kids did at that age.” They took him to the doctor for an evaluation.
Then, in late January, she shared another update on Henry’s speech. She said, “We are going back this morning for a follow-up speech evaluation. I think Henry is really catching up!” Based on the videos Jessa shared around that time, Duggar fans think they noticed a difference in his speech. They think he definitely improved. And now, from what Jessa shared this week, he’s doing even better.

Duggar fans notice Ivy is talking early
As TV Shows Ace reported, nine-month-old Ivy is starting to talk. In a video Jessa shared, Ivy is playing with her first baby doll. And, she even says the word “baby.” This is really what provoked the question about Henry’s speech. Several Duggar fans commented on Jessa’s post and mentioned how girls tend to talk at an earlier age than boys do. They are pretty impressed that she’s not even one year old and is starting to talk.
