Couple is already experiencing “friction” in their relationship
As Us Weekly reported, American Idol judge Katy Perry always keeps it real with her fans. She’s one of the most genuine pop stars of her time. Katy also admitted that her relationship with Orlando Bloom hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Introducing a new child into the world isn’t as perfect as it may look.
Katy Perry just dropped her new music video for “Never Worn White.” In the video, the singer is seen wearing white and embracing her growing baby bump. Following the video premiere, Katy announced to fans that she’s pregnant with her first child. Now, she revealed that her journey looks nothing like her music video. But Katy and Orlando try to make it work.
“There’s a lot of friction between my partner and I,” Katy Perry admitted during On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Friday, March 6. “But, that friction breeds something beautiful. It can breed a lot of light.”
While she acknowledges the problems in her relationship, Katy also mentioned the best parts of being with the 43-year-old actor. She credits Orlando for helping her grow and mold into the person she’s become.
“I’ve picked a partner that makes sure to keep me evolving into the best version of myself.”
Katy and Orlando dated from 2016 to 2017 but got back together in February 2018. Orlando popped the question in February 2019 on Valentine’s Day. Then on Thursday, March 5, the “Part of Me” singer announced she was expecting her first child with Orlando.
Orlando Bloom gushes over a “jet-lagged” Katy Perry
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is excited over the news that his fiancée is pregnant. He “gushed” about the singer in a new Instagram post, as per Us Weekly. Orlando wrote that his “babies blooming” as he shared a photo of the pregnant pop star in a multi-colored dressed. Several celebrities took to Orlando’s Instagram post to offer their congrats.

This comes after the “Teenage Dream” singer admits she’s had “better” days since being pregnant, according to the Daily Mail. Katy has had a busy week and she’s feeling it. She chatted with fans from inside her limo in Melbourne, Australia. One of her fans asked her how she’s been feeling lately.
“I’m so jet-lagged,” Katy said before explaining she sprained her wrist before her flight. “I sprained myself. I don’t know … my body is changing!”
Katy traveled to Australia on Saturday to perform at the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup cricket final on Sunday, March 8. This is her first appearance since announcing she’s pregnant with Orlando’s child. Katy exclaimed to fans that her performance will be “interesting with all the variables.”
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s destination wedding comes with even more problems
The singer sure loves a good destination wedding. Back in 2010, she and Russell Brand wed near a tiger sanctuary in northern India. The former couple had a Bollywood-themed wedding rehearsal and a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony even though neither of them practiced the religion. And despite being accused of cultural appropriation in the past, Katy wants to do another destination wedding.
She’s planning a 150-person ceremony in Japan this summer. According to People, the couple has to put their plans on hold because of the coronavirus.
“Katy was actually really excited about walking down the aisle pregnant,” an insider told the outlet. “They were both so elated that all the wedding details were finally coming together, but they are hitting pause because of coronavirus.”
But there’s even more drama. Katy and her fellow American Idol judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. During the interview, Katy revealed that neither of her fellow judges were invited to her wedding. Luke said that he’s fine with it because he “can’t afford them.” Katy joked that she’s planning a “small wedding.”
While the country singer says the lack of an invitation is not personal, some of his fans disagreed and took to social media to attack Katy. But Luke insists that he has nothing but good things to say about his co-host. In an interview with People, he said that she’s a “good-hearted person” who will also be an “amazing mom.”
