‘Counting On’ Duggars Have Family Night Every Monday, But What About Jill?
The stars of Counting On enjoy a Duggar family night together every week. But this news makes us wonder if Jill is invited?
Recently, Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband, Austin, took to YouTube to answer some frequently asked questions. In the video, Austin mentioned that they visit Jim-Bob and Michelle Duggar’s home weekly for a family night.
“We see her family at least a couple of times a week,” Austin said. He continued, “Every Monday night we have family night at her parents’ house. So, we all get together, the ones that are in town, and just hang out, catch up, and try to stay close as a family.”
This has grabbed the attention of fans because of previous comments made by Jill Duggar’s husband. At the end of 2019 Derick Dillard claimed he and Jill rarely see her side of the family.

Derick made a name for himself as one of the few family members willing to speak out about the famous Duggar family.
Despite having been chosen by Jim Bob as a good match for joining their family, Derick has shared many daring comments via Instagram. These comments often put the Duggar family name at risk of getting a bad image.
Last year, Derick told one of his Instagram followers that he and Jill are not allowed at the family house when Jim Bob isn’t there. He elaborated further. He said, “Jill even had to ask JB permission to go over to the house to help her sister when she was in labor because her sister wanted her help, but Jill couldn’t provide the assistance until we got it cleared with JB.”
We doubt the Dillards join family nights
Now that fans know Joy-Anna is seeing her parents multiple times a week, they can’t help but wonder about Jill.
Jill frequently posts about her life via social media, so it is pretty clear she is doing well. Although, her posts seem to not include too much time with her parents. She didn’t even attend the Duggar Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations this past year.
Despite this, Jill still maintains a good relationship with her sisters. Jinger was just in Arkansas visiting from California, and the Duggar women all shared photos and videos of their gigantic get-together.
Overall, Jill’s busy with her own life. So, it’s not likely she’s sad about missing out on the Monday night fun. We think it’s good that the Dillards are making their own way. And, they aren’t just abiding by traditional Duggar rules. Go, Jill, go!
