‘RHOA’ Star NeNe Leakes Says She Would Have ‘No Problem’ Quitting, Decries Co-Stars’ Lack of Sympathy For Her Personal Struggles
The Real Housewives of Atlanta may be missing one of their original stars when it returns next year for Season 13. Despite a report last month that she quit the Bravo show, NeNe Leakes says everything is still up in the air.
NeNe Leakes Is ‘Undecided’ About Returning to RHOA, Says Kenya Moore Would Ruin Show
There’s no love lost between NeNe and her RHOA co-star Kenya Moore. In fact, NeNe isn’t getting along with any of her castmates this season. Contract negotiations prevented the actress from appearing in a handful of early episodes.
However, the Dancing With The Stars alum certainly makes up for her absence in upcoming episodes. Kenya has claimed for months that NeNe spit on her during an argument. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, NeNe denies actually spitting on her.
Rather, NeNe claims she pretended to spit on her nemesis. Fans will see footage soon to make up their own minds. Keep in mind that Bravo films everything and likes to shake things up by airing receipts, as Teresa Giudice learned after this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
When considering quitting RHOA, NeNe says she would have ‘no problem’ leaving. She says,
“If it was my time to go, I absolutely have no problem with that, because the show has been good to me.”
However, she does question how the show would fare with Kenya still there. According to NeNe, as an OG, she opened the door for the likes of Kenya to walk through it. Would the show survive without her? NeNe’s not so sure.
“If I leave the show and Kenya stays on the show, she will be the demise of the show.”
NeNe Addresses ‘I Quit’ Text to Wendy Williams
In January, talk show host Wendy Williams claimed that NeNe texted her saying she was quitting The Real Housewives of Atlanta. People reports that NeNe says it was not a ‘cool thing’ for her friend to do.
NeNe recently retained a high profile lawyer. This leads many to speculate that contract negotiations or some other type of agreement is in the works with Bravo. The Glee actress has remained mum about why she hired a lawyer.
RHOA Star Says No One Gave Her Sympathy During Husband’s Cancer Battle
One of the problems NeNe does have is with her co-stars’ lack of sympathy for the family issues she was dealing with last year when the show was filming. Entertainment Tonight reports that NeNe felt she is held to a higher standard because of her larger-than-life personality. She says,
“I dealt with so much last year, and I feel like I don’t get a break for that, or I don’t get any sympathy for that, because I’m NeNe.”
