Duggar Followers Troll Derick After He Invites Them To Church
In a couple of recent Instagram posts over the weekend, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard invited their followers to join them at church. Both Jill and Derick shared a photo of Derick holding a card. On the card, it says, “sit with me.”
In both Jill’s and Derick’s posts, they included the name and address of their church. They hoped that some of their followers might join them at church on Sunday.
When Derick posted the church invitation, he shared that he and Jill had gotten married at the church five years ago. He added that whoever comes can sit with them at church, like the card he’s holding mentioned.
Several of their followers commented and asked if the church service will be live-streamed too. Derick and Jill shared the link to the service so Duggar fans can live-stream it if they can’t make it. The family has fans from all over the world, and it seems that lots of them are interested in the church service.

Some of Derick’s followers also said they think this is a great way to get people to go to church. One pointed out that it’s hard to feel comfortable at church as a single person.
Duggar trolls comment on new post
Of course, not everyone responded to the post positively. As usual, Derick’s followers began to troll him in the comments section of the post.
Because Derick said his followers could sit with them, his followers started asking if he would let them sit with him if they’re gay or transgender.
One asked, “Can I still sit with you even if I’m gay?” To this, Derick simply said, “yes”.
Someone else asked, “Can I still sit with you if I’m an atheist? Trans? Latino? A sex worker? Gay? Are all welcome at your church?”
Derick didn’t respond to that comment, but some of his followers joined in the conversation and assumed that the commenter would be still be welcome. They also accused the commenter of creating chaos.
Duggar fans are familiar with Derick’s past mistakes on social media. The former Counting On star tweeted transphobic comments at fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings. He’s also made homophobic comments in the past. So, that’s likely what provoked the comments on his recent post. Plus, his followers know that he’s a conservative Christian who shares many of the same values that the Duggar family does.
