The Grand Tour Instagram

Rabid fans of The Grand Tour want to know if the Amazon show will be returning for Season 5. A lot has unexpectedly changed, and fans want to know if the show is ending now or filming more episodes. Right now, an additional season or two looks like a go, but when will the remaining Season 4 episodes air?

Will There Be The Grand Tour Season 5?

Inquiring gearheads want to know, will The Grand Tour return for Season 5? Fans should feel relieved. According to show producer Andy Wilman’s Instagram page, the show should have a Season 5, and perhaps even a Season 6!

Back on July 1, 2019, Willman posted a photo, with the caption: “Grand Tour film crew just receiving the news that they have to work with us another two years.”

What isn’t clear is if this “two years” include Season 4 and Season 5 or Season 5 and Season 6. What seems probable is Season 5 with two episodes.

The Grand Tour Season 4 was officially renewed December 13, 2018. At that time, Amazon explained that the show’s format was changing. They were getting rid of the studio sections and just focusing on travel adventures.

What Amazon didn’t explain was that this meant less episodes. The series is now only airing two episodes a year. This is drastically different from the dozen or so episodes that aired the previous three seasons.

Fans Are Confused

Enough about Season 5! Fans want to know when the second episode of Season 4 is released. So far, Season 4 has consisted of one big fabulous episode entitled “Seamen.” As TV Shows Ace had reported, the former Top Gear trio were assigned to cross the Mekong Delta. Taking place between Vietnam and Cambodia, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May took various boats on a funny and dangerous Southeast Asian journey.

After that fabulous Ulysian epic, fans waited for new episodes. Where are they?

Where Are The Grand Tour Season 4 Episodes?

The Grand Tour fans are feeling a bit unsure of what exactly is going on with their favorite show. It has now been nearly two months since the “Seamen” release. The last clue that Amazon gave was back on January 8.

The Grand Tour Instagram page shared a very Captain Slow-type of missive explaining what is going on with the Amazon show.

“Just to let you know. Yes, another special is coming. We’ve finished filming in Madagascar. No, we don’t know when it’s coming out yet. Yes, Season 4 is made up of epic specials. No, they are not released weekly. Yes, we’ll have more info in due course.”

So, what exactly does this mean? This means that The Grand Tour Season 4 will air Episode 2. This was filmed in Madagascar, the big island off of the southeast coast of Africa. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, this next episode promises some exotic thrills with James May, Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson. But, there is no official date when the currently untitled Madagascar episode will be released.

Be sure to check back with TV Shows Ace for the last Grand Tour news.
