Duggar Fans Notice Bella Is Wearing Pants In Recent Photo
If you’re familiar with the Duggar family, you know that the girls and women in the family wear skirts and dresses. This is just one of many rules the conservative family follows. If they wear leggings, they wear them under a dress or skirt. Over time, some of the girls have begun to branch out.
In a recent post shared by Josiah and Lauren Duggar, their two-month-old baby, Bella, is wearing an adorable pair of jeans. This has raised some questions among fans though. The women in the family typically steer clear of pants and jeans.
Some of the family members have started to do their own thing as far as their clothing choices go. But, so far, Lauren hasn’t been seen in jeans. So, it isn’t clear why she dressed Bella in a pair of jeans. In response to the post, some Duggar fans were pretty surprised.

Why don’t the Duggar women wear pants?
Michelle Duggar talked about how her family studied the Bible to make this decision. The mom said, “As we studied as a family, we found we could come up with our idea of what we thought modesty was, but we really wanted to see what the scriptures said about it. Our interpretation was that from the neck down to the knee should be covered. By keeping those private areas covered, there’s not any ‘defrauding’ going on. My kids are taught the definition of defrauding as stirring up desires that cannot be righteously fulfilled. We don’t believe in defrauding others by the way we dress.”
Michelle describes wearing skirts and dresses as “defining who [she is] as a woman.” Because of this, this is how she and Jim Bob chose to raise their kids.
Jana, Jill, Jinger, and Jessa wrote a book years ago. In the book, they shared about dressing modestly and said, “We do not dress modestly because we are ashamed of the body God has given us; quite the contrary. We realize that our body is a special gift from God and that He intends for it to be shared only with our future husband… We avoid low-cut, cleavage-showing, gaping, or bare-shouldered tops; and when needed, we wear an undershirt. We try to make it a habit to always cover the top of our shirt with our hand when we bend over. We don’t want to play the peekaboo game with our neckline.”
Which of the family members wear pants?
Most of the members of the Duggar family have continued to follow Jim Bob and Michelle’s guidelines. After all, those guidelines are comfortable and familiar. But, some members of the family have decided to branch out and try new things.
So, this has resulted in some of the older girls wearing pants. Jinger Vuolo is one of the daughters who is well-known for being “rebellious.” On Instagram, fans can see Jinger frequently wearing jeans. She talked to her parents about that decision. She also mentioned that it’s where the Lord was leading her. But, she still dresses modestly, even if she’s decided to wear jeans. Jinger’s daughter, Felicity, also wears pants.

Jill Dillard is another Duggar daughter who has been seen in pants. She often works in collaboration with her cousin Amy King’s clothing boutique, 3130 Clothing. This sometimes means that her followers see her in jeans instead of skirts.
