‘Bachelor’ News: Why Ali Fedotowsky Stepped Down As Rachel Lindsay’s Podcast Cohost
Former Bachelorette’s Ali Fedotowsky and Rachel Lindsay were working together until recently. Ali sat in as the cohost of Rachel’s podcast Bachelor Happy Hour. Those who follow the podcast know that Ali recently stepped down from her role. Now, she shares exactly what prompted her decision to quit.
Why Ali decided to leave the podcast
US Weekly spoke with Ali about leaving the podcast. Obviously one of the first reasons that comes to mind would be a falling out with Rachel. Ali assures fans that is absolutely not the case. She wants to make it perfectly clear that she and Rachel remain close.
Ali said, “When I decided to do the Bachelor podcast, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m a super fan, I’m going to love this! We’re going to be set, we’re going to talk to all the guests.’ And I basically did not realize the time commitment that it was going to take to do it.”
Ali reiterated that there are no hard feelings or issues between she and Rachel.
Other reason Ali left
Basically, the main reason for Ali’s departure was an issue with her time. She said she didn’t realize how much time it would take to prep then record the episodes. Aside from all the prep work, Ali also said she was missing too many moments with her two children, Molly, 3, and Riley, 19 months. She shares the children with husband, Kevin Manno.
A moment occurred with her daughter that made Ali realize something had to change. Ali said,
“I thought it was going to be, like, ‘Oh! I get to sit and chat for an hour every week, this is going to be so cool and fun!’ It just was not that. And it was, like, with my kids, I honestly found … Rachel had so much going on in her life too, and with our two schedules, we were just never lining up. And it was becoming a lot. One day, when I was running out the door to try and get there, literally my daughter was crying. She was like, ‘Mommy, stay home with me. I miss seeing you.’ And I just realized, between doing the podcast, and working with Home & Family, and my website, and my photoshoots, and everything else I’m doing, and when I saw Molly like that, I was like … ‘Something’s got to give.’ And I was like, ‘I need to put my family first, and as fun as this is, I can’t take this on right now.’”

Who will be taking Ali’s place?
Former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin will be taking over cohost responsibilities. Ali said she is excited for Becca to jump in. She feels it is better for two ladies with no children yet because they can devote more time to the podcast. She said, “I think that’s awesome. I think, like, two non-parents would be better to do something like that!”
Becca’s new cohost duties are not the only project she is currently doing. Becca will be hitting the road soon with Ben Higgins to host Bachelor Live in cities across the country.
