Hallmark’s ‘Holiday for Heroes’: Everything You Need To Know
Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas does not forget our men and women serving overseas during the holidays. In the Christmas movie, Holiday For Heroes, we watch an unlikely love story occur by the old fashioned method of snail mail. Starring Melissa Claire Egan (Young and the Restless) and Marc Blucas (The Fix) as a couple that are brought together by coffee and Christmas.
What Is Holiday For Heroes About?
Audrey Brown’s baby brother Devin, is serving overseas. She makes sure she sends regular care packages to him, including some freshly roasted coffee from her coffee shop, A & J. Devin happily shares some of this bounty with First Sergeant Matt (Blucas), who writes to thank Audrey. Soon, the two become devoted penpals, sharing their life stories to pen and paper.
By the next Christmas, Matt finds himself stationed at the Connecticut small town where Audrey lives. The two bond even closer with hot chocolate, and some hockey. Soon, they are working together to save the annual Holiday for Heroes event. Audrey finds she needs to make a sacrifice to make this happen, but Matt, who is trying to make some life-changing decisions of his own, tries to help her out. Can they find a solution to make this new relationship work?
Young And The Restless Star Melissa Claire Egan’s Hallmark Experience
How was making her first Hallmark movie? International Business Times reported that when Melissa Claire Egan appeared at Christmas Con 2019, the experience was great. When asked if she would do another movie, she was very enthusiastic: “I had the best experience. I loved working with Hallmark. So, I hope so.”
TV Shows Ace has previously reported that when the movie first aired, she did a screening of it with her closest pals at Justin and Chrishell Hartley’s home. This was just days before Justin filed from divorce, blindsiding Chrishell. Egan worked with Justin on the Young and the Restless, playing Chelsea Lawson to Justin’s Adam Newman. Chrishell is her best pal.
