Josiah And Lauren Duggar Document Bella’s First Holiday Season
Duggar fans know that Josiah and Lauren Duggar just welcomed their first baby to the world. The couple shared this weekend that they are preparing their home for the holiday season. This year, their new daughter gets to join them in celebrating Christmas!

On Instagram, Josiah and Lauren share an account. On this joint account, they documented Bella’s first Christmas-decorating session in their stories. Keep in mind that the couple used a filter on the pictures, so there is an edited effect.
One of the first snaps the couple shared is a video of baby Bella being held on the couch. The camera then pans to their freshly decorated tree. Then, it pans back to Bella.
It looks like the little family also spent some time making ornaments for their tree. They used clay and cookie cutters to make special ornaments. In their stories, they showed fans the process. Lauren can even be seen holding one that has Bella’s name on it.
How do Josiah and Lauren Duggar’s families celebrate Christmas?
In a blog post in 2014, Josiah’s mom, Michelle Duggar, wrote about the holiday season. The mom of 19 wrote, “It’s an exciting time. We decorate. It’s a big birthday party for Jesus. We make banners and put them all around the house and put out our nativity scene. We’ve got a big beautiful nativity that has the Christ child in the manger, Joseph and Mary and some of the wise men and the shepherds. That goes out on our counter and then we surround it with pretty white lights. And so, that’s our big emphasis.”
So far, the Duggar family has shared about their Ugly Sweater Party on social media. This is a fairly new tradition for the family, but it is part of how they celebrate now.

In another blog post, Michelle shared, “We kept that idea out of the whole celebration, we explained to the children who Santa Claus was historically, but focused on his good deeds and his ministering to children. We tell them about the true person of Saint Nicholas, but we don’t sensationalize him.”
Now that Josiah and Lauren Duggar have a family of their own, they will have to decide how to celebrate. They might make clay ornaments each year with Bella and any more children they have. It seems like they have stuck with Josiah’s family’s traditions too so far.
