Hallmark’s ‘Picture A Perfect Christmas’ Is A Picturesque Romance
When a jet-setting photographer meets a surrogate dad, sparks fly in Picture A Perfect Christmas. Merritt Patterson (The Royals) and Jon Cor (Shadowhunters) star in a movie that embraces holiday traditions like ice skating and a Christmas pageant. The Countdown to Christmas continues with this picturesque Christmas romance.
What Is Picture A Perfect Christmas About?
Sophie is an emerging photographer whose career takes her to exotic locations. Her boyfriend Brent is a famous photographer and her career path is set. But, her fast track to photography fame is slightly derailed when she has to help out her grandmother Louise (Paula Shaw), who lives in picturesque Bainbridge Island, Washington. Grandma had a fall and suffered a hairline fracture. This is not the worst news, but she needs some TLC. Sophie arrives during the beautiful Christmas holiday season and gets some time out to slow down and enjoy what the holiday season has to offer.
Her grandma’s neighbor David (Cor) had been helping out grandma, but soon, Sophie finds she can return the favor. David is now caring for his nephew Troy, who lost both of his parents in a tragic car crash. David is overwhelmed by the responsibility, as he also owns his own business and needs to get an annual report out to the board. The end of the year is near! He thinks Sophie is vying for a nanny job and their first encounter is far from pleasant.
When David’s millennial nanny bails out on him, he winds up bringing Troy to work. When Sophie gets wind of that, she insists on taking care of the affable nephew. Soon, the trio are skating, shopping for Christmas trees and finding love. These two have chemistry! But, there are a few obstacles in the way, including a dream shoot in Switzerland and that pesky boyfriend Brent.
Will Sophie and David overcome these obstacles in this adorable Christmas romcom?
There is also an adorable dog named Riggs. Riggs is played by rescue terrier mix, Gidget. Expect to see Gidget in another Hallmark movie soon!

Jon Cor Talks About Working With Luke Roessler
One of the key relationships in Picture A Perfect Christmas is between David and Troy, his nephew. Jon Cor spoke with My Devotional Thoughts on working with Luke Roessler, the young actor who played Troy. He called Roessler “ineffable, hilarious, wickedly-smart, and super-capable.” Working with him was a lot of fun and added to the movie.

Picture a Perfect Christmas premiered November 9, at 8 p.m., with Encores airing on Dec. 8 at 10:03 p.m., Dec. 16 at 6 p.m., Dec. 25 at 12:30 p.m., and Dec. 29 at 2 p.m., all times Eastern.
