Was The Duggar Ugly Sweater Christmas Party Not A Big Deal This Year?
In addition to being religious and conservative, the Duggar family is full of traditionalists. This is why Counting On fans can come to expect snapshots from certain family affairs on an annual basis. The Ugly Sweater Christmas Party, for example, is one Duggar tradition that Counting On fans look forward to seeing photos of each year. Unfortunately, as some fans have started to notice, this particular family tradition didn’t appear to be a very big deal this year.
According to a report by Cheatsheet, it is almost like the Duggar Ugly Sweater Christmas Party of 2019 didn’t even happen.
Just one member of the family shared photos of the Duggar Ugly Sweater Christmas Party on Instagram.
With the exception of Counting On fans who follow every member of the TLC family on Instagram, some may have questioned if the Duggar Ugly Sweater Christmas Party even happened this year. After all, Josh Duggar’s Wife, Anna, is the only member of the reality TV series family that shared photos from the 2019 get together on Instagram. To date, snapshots from the evening haven’t appeared on the social media profile of any other members of the family.
As we’ve previously reported, the photo appearing on Anna’s Instagram wasn’t too much of a surprise. The happy couple had more to share then some ugly Christmas sweaters. Photos of this years party also served as Maryella Hope Duggar’s debut at her very first family function.

While Anna did tag the official Instagram page for the Duggar family as a whole, the profile did not join her in sharing any photos from the family function.
Last year, the family gathering was shared by other members of the Duggar family.
The reason some Counting On fans are finding the lack of photos and social media posts regarding the Duggar Ugly Sweater Christmas Party of 2019 surprising is because it is something members of the family have shared in the past. For example, Jessa shared multiple snapshots of the get together last year.
Counting On fans likely didn’t find it too surprising that Anna was the first to post photos. After all, she’s one of the more active members of the reality TV family on Instagram. More over, she had a gorgeous new bundle of joy to share photos of.

Her photo, however, featured several other members of the family including Michelle, Jessa, Abbie, and Kendra. Each of these lovely Duggar ladies have active Instagram accounts. But, none of them joined Anna in sharing a photo from the party.
Posted to her Instagram two days ago, her photo collage with a snap from this year and last year’s Ugly Sweater Christmas Party has accumulated just shy of 60,000 likes. Only time will tell if any of her family members join her in celebrating the affair.
