‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers December 2 – 6: Stefano Returns… As Steve ‘Patch’ Johnson
Days of Our Lives has had some wild storylines – Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) possession, Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) death row appeal, the recent one-year jump into the future. However, the return of Stefan DiMeria might take the cake of them all. The phoenix rises again… with a very familiar face.
DOOL’s Stefano Is Alive in Steve Johnson’s Body
DOOL actress Kristian Alfonso is doing double-duty on the daytime soap. Hope is brainwashed into thinking she is Princess Gina once again. As fans know, Princess Gina has a smoking habit and an artistic streak. She’s been painting a portrait of ‘Stefano’ for weeks now. Of course, ‘Stefano’ appears off-camera with only the distinctive ring on his hands seen.
Princess Gina finally unveils the painting this week, to the shock of the audience. The painting is Steve ‘Patch’ Johnson (Stephen Nichols.) He’s the one with the ring on his finger. Stefano’s memories have been implanted in Steve’s mind. That may be why Steve never showed up for his sister Adrienne’s (Judi Evans) funeral.
As fans know, the actor who played Stefano, Joe Mascolo, passed away in 2016. His character ‘died’ on the soap, but the characters are rarely dead on daytime television. Rather than face potential fan backlash by recasting the role, having Steve as Stefano offers a short-term storyline.
Stefano, with Steve’s face, will have to navigate Salem without anyone catching on. Unfortunately, John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena already suspect Stefano is back in town after Marlena gets a gift from a secret admirer. Will Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) realize something is off with her ex-husband?
Kayla Has Moved On; Now She’s Moving In
One of the twists DOOL had in store for fans was an unexpected romance between Kayla and Justin (Wally Kurth) after Adrienne’s death. After a successful holiday meal with the Kiriakis family, spoilers say that Justin asks his new love to move in with him.
Eric Demands Sarah Dump Xander on DOOL
Last week, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) spilled the beans to Eric (Greg Vaughan) about baby Mickey’s true paternity. Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander (Paul Telfer) faked paternity tests to show Xander was the father of Sarah’s baby.
Eric gives Sarah an ultimatum about Xander this week. Will she give in to his demands? What will Ciara (Victoria Konefal) find in the box she stole from Xander?
Will Horton Attacked In Prison
Will Horton (Chandler Massey) is in prison for causing Adrienne’s death. His cellmate is none other than Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson,) the man who killed him. (Will came back to life in yet another wild storyline.)
Ben’s father, Clyde Weston (James Read,) attacks Will. Ben comes to his former victim’s rescue and seeks revenge against his father. How far will Ben go to get rid of his dad? Can Will stop him?
In real life drama, DOOL star Camila Banus recently called out the Emmy nomination panel for lack of diversity in the nominees for Lead Actress.
Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC.
