The former Dawson’s Creek star talked about mutual support

James shared that prior to their personal tragedy he had been trying to find a way to explain his support for other cast members. This was something important to James even though his fellow cast members were also his competition. He said then the tables were turned and he and his wife needed their support in a much different way. And they lived up to that expectation and need.

He went on to say, “It’s not the Olympics… it’s a reality dance show. But it’s also a family.”

Next, James thanked his partner, Emma Slater. He thanked her for being strong, talented and open. After that he thanked everyone on set he could think of. Everyone from wardrobe, to grips, to segment producers were mentioned in his heartfelt thanks.

James said, “Thank you for the safe, loving pocket you provided when I needed it most. And to all of you who’ve allowed me to share this personal and creative journey with you… thank you for all the good vibes and prayers.”

He concluded his post by saying, “We’re all in this together. That’s what this experience has shown me first hand – that interconnectedness is not just a nice, altruistic notion… it’s the only way we’re ever going to make it through. So thank you for your support. I’ll see you on the next dance floor. ❤️.”

Thoughts and prayers go out to James and his family as they make their way through this tough time.
