‘BIP’ Alum Carly Waddell Helped Deliver Her Own Baby, Plus Bella’s Sweet Reaction
Bachelor in Paradise alums Carly Waddell and Evan Bass have welcomed their second baby into the world. The baby arrived Tuesday as healthy and perfect as can be. Carly and Evan named their son Charles Wolf Bass, but will call him Charlie. Now that their family has had a few days to adjust, details are emerging about Charlie’s birth and his sister’s sweet reaction to him.
Carly had a very unique birth
People shared details about Carly’s birth experience. Things went quite well for Carly during labor. So well in fact that the doctor let her physically help bring Charles into the world. After about 15 minutes of pushing, Carly was able to grab on to Charlie and pull him the rest of the way out. He literally was instantly in her arms.
Carly said, “He literally jumped straight into my arms, because the doctor let me pull him out the rest of the way! A beautiful and unique delivery.”
The happy new mom revealed that wasn’t the only unique part of her birth experience. Carly said, “Baby Charles was born on November 12th at 11:22 am in Nashville, TN. Charles was born quickly, after about 15 minutes of pushing, and came into this world face up (OP to the medical community) with one eye open and one eye closed like a pirate looking directly at me!”

The reason behind Charlie’s name
Carly also explained why she and Evan chose the name Charles Wolf. She said, “Charles is a beloved family name on both sides and we wanted to incorporate the name wolf because he was born on a full moon and started howling the second he was born. (Apparently this is a very popular name right now. Which makes my grandfather seem even cooler than he already was!) We are so thrilled and in love with our new little addition 🥰”
The pictures Carly has shared on social media are adorable. Carly and Evan have a beautiful family. Evan has three sons from a previous marriage and the couple also has 20 month old Bella. The entire family is already in love with “Chuck.” Evan shared, “When Chuck met Bella. You better believe i had to name a kid Chuck Bass!! His first word shall be ‘I’m Chuck Bass.’” The name is referenced from Gossip Girl.

When Bella met Charlie
Big sister Bella is already rocking her role. Carly shared adorable videos of Bella and Charlie. She gently rubbed Charlie’s cheek while saying his name. Carly asks Bella if she loves her baby brother to which Bella replies “Yeah.” She even excitedly put down a baby doll to hold Charlie again.
Carly and Evan are going to have their hands full for awhile with two children under the age of two. No doubt they will handle it with grace and humor. Carly and Evan have been fan favorites since their days on Bachelor in Paradise.
After a rocky start to their relationship, Carly and Evan met, fell in love and then got married in June of 2017. They welcomed Bella in early 2018.
