Duggar fans will recall that Joy-Anna Duggar lost her second child with husband Austin Forsyth. They lost the baby in late June and shared the sad news in early July. Now, Joy is talking about her next pregnancy. She is currently the mom of Gideon, who is keeping her busy.

In an interview, she opened up about her decision to wait to conceive again. She wants to take it easy and give her body some time to recover from the loss.

Us Weekly recently spoke with Joy about whether she wants more kids. She said, “We want to be wise and give my body time to heal. But we are excited for the children that God’s going to give us and can’t wait. I don’t know if four is the number. I mean, I would be fine with a few more if that’s what God wants us to have.”

On July 3, Joy shared an Instagram post featuring herself in a hospital bed. Austin is comforting her in the photo. She wrote a detailed caption to inform Duggar fans of the heartbreaking news.

They wrote, “We named her Annabell Elise. Annabell means “God has favored me”, and Elise means “God satisfies”. What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus.

Several other Duggar women are expecting babies in November, which is when Joy was due to give birth to her daughter. This will likely be a difficult time for Joy for this reason.

Joy-Anna reflects on loss

Throughout the grieving process, Joy kept fans updated on social media. Though this has been a sad time for the young mom, she has stayed positive. She has been sharing plenty of pictures of her son Gideon.

She talked about the support she has had and said, “Austin’s family was a huge blessing. They would help keep Gideon so we could have some alone time. My parents and my siblings were there for me. They would come and bring us meals and food and just give us encouraging words. My mom would write down scripture for me and post it everywhere. We had a lot of support.”

Then, the Duggar daughter added that Austin was a huge help. She explained, “He was reminding me, ‘OK babe, remember, not only are you grieving and stuff, but your hormones are changing and your emotions.’ He was just there to support me.”
