It’s Official ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Couple Demi Burnett And Kristian Haggerty Are Done
October has been a rough month for a few couples from Bachelor in Paradise. First, Tayshia Adams and John Paul Jones announced their break-up. Now, after tons of speculation, Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty are also done. Fans have been wondering about the franchise’s first same sex couple for some time now. Today the news has been released that they are officially broken up.

Demi took to Instagram today to share news that she and Kristian are done. The news comes after Kristian’s sister posted a cryptic comment on Demi’s posted bikini pic. Kristian herself also posted a cryptic message on her Instagram story on Monday. In the post she shared a quote sent to her by her sister that indicated there was trouble in paradise. In the past, Demi has always avoided talking about her relationship stating it was nobody’s business. Fans have long thought the relationship was in trouble and now they have their confirmation.

Demi and Kristian’s message to fans
The couple shared the same post on their individual Instagram’s announcing their decision to split. Each of them shared a black and white, yet different photo of them together. They started the post saying, “What has always been at the forefront of our relationship is love and care for one another. Our priority is doing what is best for us.”
They continued on saying it was best for them to take a step back from their relationship. They continued, “We ultimately want what is best for us in the long run and for us right now, that means being apart and growing individually.”
Demi and Kristian go on to thank everyone for following their journey. They also point out they hope their love for one another reminded some people to not be ashamed of who they are. They said they will forever be proud of the impact their love has made and hope others will just be themselves.
