‘RHOC’ Star Jim Edmonds Posts Rant, Slams Affair Accusations As “Dangerous”
RHOC star Jim Edmonds isn’t taking the accusations that he cheated with the nanny sitting down. After releasing a short statement denying the rumors, he posted a long rant on his Instagram post to further deny the accusations.
As fans know, Jim is husband to former The Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds. Four months after he was caught texting and sending explicit videos to another woman, Jim suddenly filed for divorce. The filing came as a shock to Meghan, especially because it was the day after their five-year wedding anniversary.
Inside the RHOC Couple’s Split
Us Weekly reported that the filing came after an argument between the couple. Sources say Meghan was suspicious of an outing he took to a hockey game. The police were called following the argument, but no charges were filed.
“The latest fight began when he went to a recent hockey game and she began interrogating him about who he went with.”
Meghan’s mother called the police again the next day when Jim was taking his belongings out of the home. No charges were filed in that instance, either. Meghan’s mom was asked to leave so Jim could get some of his things.
Meghan Accuses Jim of Sleeping with the Nanny
Within days of the court filings, Meghan came out swinging with a stunning accusation. She alleged that Jim was carrying on an affair with one of the family’s four nannies. (They also have a live-in au pair.)
Both Jim and the nanny, identified on social media as Carly Wilson, deny the affair. However, eagle-eyed fans noted that Jim had ‘liked’ many of Carly’s Instagram photos. In fact, rumors are rampant that Jim was attending that hockey game with none other than nanny Carly.
Jim’s initial denial threw shade on Meghan’s behavior. He called her “insecure” and a “narcissist.” However, he then went all-in on his defensive attack on his estranged wife with an odd Instagram post.
RHOC Embattled Husband Posts Wild Instagram Denial
Immediately following the allegations, Jim set his Instagram account to private. However, it was wide open for a few hours today. He posted a vehement denial of the accusations against him. The account is back to private now.
He wrote a long rant to go along with an old photograph of him on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The words on the cover of the magazine say, “Imagine how this feels,” a reference to a loss of a teammate at the time of the magazine cover.
He begins his lengthy Instagram rant with “**BREAKING NEWS**” before going on a long defense of the “child” he is accused of sleeping with.
“She’s not just a nanny, she is someone that we brought into our house and promised to protect and look after while she was in our home. We have been treating and raising this young girl like she is our own child. For someone to accuse me of sleeping with her is not only wrong, it’s disgusting and irresponsible.”
He then went on to rant about how Bravo portrayed him as a bad person on RHOC. He then took aim at Meghan, claiming her allegations put his family in danger.
“Just because you’re extremely whitty [sic] and intelligent, and know how to play the Instagram game. Doesn’t give you the right to use that platform to wrongfully accuse. Not only is it irresponsible. It is dangerous and puts my family in harms way.”
Meghan has remained mum about his denials. In fact, she hasn’t even publicly accused him of anything. The accusations came from unnamed sources. Plus the interpretation of Meghan posting a thumbs up emoji in response to a fan question.
She did post a vulnerable selfie hours after the news broke with the caption, “So raw.”

The former The Real Housewives of Orange County made a guest appearance on the Bravo show earlier this month. It remains to be seen if she appears again this season. Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County continues Tuesdays on Bravo.
