Duggar: Jill Is Babyproofing Her Home — Is She Pregnant Again?
On social media, Jill Duggar Dillard keeps 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On fans up-to-date about what’s going on in her life. Though she occasionally overshares, fans love to see pictures and videos of her kids.
Over the weekend, Jill shared on her Instagram page that she was working on a project in her house. She and Derick Dillard recently moved into a new home, which she mentions in her caption. She writes, “Finally…for the 3rd time in 3 years I’m getting the cabinet locks on. 🤗 #childproofing #moves“.

Jill and Derick have two sons, Israel and Samuel. Israel is four years old and Samuel is two years old.
Duggar fans speculate that Jill could be pregnant
In the comments section of her post, fans began to wonder if Jill could be pregnant. One fan wrote, “Oh wow! Y’all expecting baby #3? Great that you’re getting a head start on #babyproofing!” Another added, “Does that mean there’s new news for you? 🙏🏼♥️”. Someone else wrote, “I got really excited and thought this was an announcement!! 👶🏼”
A few fans also simply asked Jill if she is expecting. Another fan commented and suggested that Jill clear things up, saying, “you may want to address (not that you should need to) this pregnancy rumor.”
In her defense, a Duggar fan commented, “Guys…. Sam is only 2 and they just moved… putting locks on a cabinet does not indicate someone is pregnant by any means. Two year olds are into everything. I’m sure it’s just a precaution given her children are young and she has so many nieces and nephews. Baby proofing your cabinets would not be your first step of preparation when you find out your pregnant.”
Could Jill actually be pregnant?
It doesn’t seem likely that Jill is pregnant. On an Instagram Live, she and Derick discussed Jill possibly being pregnant. This came after a fan in the comments asked if Jill was pregnant. Derick said that Jill wouldn’t be pregnant this year. Of course, that video alone is not enough reason to be 100% sure. Fans seem to think that the Duggar-Dillard family will not be expanding soon. In addition, there have been hints that she is on birth control.
Plus, based on her recent social media posts, it seems like she’s got her hands full with Israel and Samuel. She has even faced some backlash recently for how she’s raising her kids. Duggar fans don’t seem to be happy about some of the things that she records and posts on social media.

Derick and Jill’s kids are about two years apart. If they want to stick with that same age gap, another baby should be on the way by now. Fans think the couple might be waiting to expand their family. This could be for a number of different reasons. For one, Derick is in college. Another reason is that Jill is busy enough with her two boys so she may be waiting to add another to the mix.
