Shep Rose went on the Ross Bolen Podcast and attempted to break all his fans hearts. Recently he had told the media they weren’t filming yet. He’d said if he has a gun to his head, he’d say because the ratings were good, the network would want another season. Now he’s saying he’s not really sure about the future of Southern Charm according to Reality Blurb.

When asked about the next season of Southern Charm Shep said, “I don’t know if we’re doing another season. But, we aren’t doing one now.” He also shared why he quit doing his podcast after just a few episodes and what he’s up to now.

Shep Rose Didn’t Want To Wrangle People Anymore

Usually, Southern Charm is filmed in the fall but they haven’t started yet leading some fans to believe the show might be canceled. When it comes to his podcast, Enough About Me, he felt like it was too much pressure.

He said, “I’m not going to name any names but I was spending a lot of time trying to wrangle people to come talk to me and I was like, ‘What am I doing? This isn’t what I want.’” He said he was having to rely too much on other people. He had a couple of co-stars, producer Randall Emmett and his nieces on.

What’s The Southern Charmer Been Up To?

Shep Rose said he’s been helping with charity by sending money to the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian went through. He said he raised over twenty-five thousand for Abacos because they got hit hard. He’s also been making Shep Gear which has a line of t-shirts and hats. He said he made one that said, ‘Tan Fat= Muscle.’ Shep’s also got some cool hats if he does say so himself.

He said the reason he got into Southern Charm was because he met Whitney Sudler-Smith at a bar. Whitney was putting a TV show together and they got along. Whitney wanted to get rid of the stigma on the south that came from shows like Honey Boo-Boo. Shep said no one knew what it was going to be and now here they are six seasons later. Shep said he wanted to, “show an aspect of the south that not many know about.”

There haven’t been any announcements either way so fans will have to wait and see if Southern Charm comes back. The fans would love to see another season, but things have changed over the years.
