Duggar: Josiah, Lauren Celebrate One-Year Anniversary
On Sunday, Josiah and Lauren Duggar of TLC’s Counting On celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary. Last year, they tied the knot at John Brown University Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
After the wedding, the couple spoke to PEOPLE and said, “What a joy it is to be husband and wife! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect!” Then, Lauren added, “It just feels full of such joy. I feel so happy. It’s like a dream. I’ve prayed my whole life for God to bring me the right man that would lead to this day and He has!”
In the couple’s Instagram post, they shared a few pictures from their wedding day. They also wrote a heartfelt message about celebrating their anniversary. They wrote, “Can’t believe it’s already been a year since we said ‘I do’. I remember the big day and just how excited we both were about getting married. Ohh the memories!”

Then, they shared, “We’ve had more downs than ups than any newly married couple should ever have. We wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s our story. We are SO blessed! Looking forward to growing old and more in love with you.”
Shortly after the wedding last year, the couple reflected on the advice their parents had given them. Josiah said, “My family encouraged me to look for every chance to serve Lauren — to genuinely serve her and put her first, ahead of myself.” Then, Lauren said, “My parents encouraged me to be Josiah’s biggest fan, offer him support and encouragement. Think the best, never assume the worst. Be his biggest cheerleader.”
Josiah and Lauren Duggar are expecting their first baby
In February, Josiah and Lauren revealed that they had suffered a miscarriage a couple of months prior. In an Instagram post, they shared the details of the loss.
They wrote, “Our expectations of setting up a baby room, hearing the heart beat, feeling the baby’s first kick in mommys tummy, holding our little one and getting to to see our precious baby were – Shattered. Gone. Right before our eyes. Even though our sweet child is no longer with us, it is such a comfort to know that one day we will get to see our baby in Heaven!”
On May 20, the couple shared another Instagram post announcing that they are expecting a baby. They wrote, “We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on the the way!!!! It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift!”
Last week, they shared that their baby is a girl. The due date is in November. Several other Duggar daughters are expecting right now and are also due in November.
