‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Jax Taylor Shares Tender Photo of Seat Reserved for Dad at Wedding
Vanderpump Rules fans – the moment we’ve been waiting for is upon us! After a year and endless parties, stars Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor tie the knot. Their wedding is at the Kentucky Castle in Brit’s home state.
News from the wedding is slow to come out. That’s likely due to the wedding being filmed for Bravo TV. Bravo hasn’t announced yet if the wedding will air on Season 8 of VPR or as a separate special, a la Don’t Be Tardy. We do know that Season 8 began filming earlier this month. In fact, filming led to a 48-hour reconciliation between former BFFs James Kennedy and Lala Kent.
Jax’s Sweet Gesture Regarding His Dad
As Vanderpump Rules viewers know, Jax lost his dad in late 2017. He has been very open with how the loss has changed his life. In remembrance of his dad, Jax shared a photo to his Instagram that showed a chair at the wedding reserved for this dad. The caption to the photo said, “My dad, always early.”

No Word On If His Mom Attended
Jax has also been open about his estrangement from his mother. According to Jax, part of his issues with his mom stem from her not calling him once she knew his dad was dying. Instead, she called after he had already passed away.
Jax and Brittany have also said that Jax’s mother never calls Jax or reaches out. During the Season 7 reunion of VPR, Brittany publically begged his mom to reach out to Jax. As far as fans know, Brit’s pleas fell on deaf ears.
As a result of the estrangement, Jax said many times prior to the wedding that his mom wasn’t invited and that he didn’t expect her to attend. However, fans (and Brittany) held out hope that his mother could put the differences aside and be there for her son. From what we know about the wedding so far, that didn’t happen. But someone else very important to the couple DID attend: Lisa Vanderpump.
Grieving Vanderpump Rules Star Attends Wedding After All
Lisa Vanderpump was shocked last week when her mother passed away suddenly. As fans of both VPR and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills know, Lisa’s brother passed away less than a year ago.
Lisa wanted to take a season off from filming RHOBH to mourn but decided to return to the show. A decision she likely regrets. During the course of filming she had an epic falling-out with friends Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley. The falling-out led to Lisa quitting RHOBH at the end of its current 9th Season.
After the death of her mother, Lisa decided not to go to Kentucky for Jax and Brittany’s wedding. However, the news came out this weekend that she changed her mind. Lala Kent’s fiance, Randall Emmett, accidentally spilled the beans on Instagram.

Once the surprise was out, a photo of Lisa wearing a white dress with a red bra underneath was posted by People magazine. The photo looks to be from a feature on the wedding in an upcoming issue.
Bravo has yet to announce when Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules will air. The season 9 finale of RHOBH airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
