‘This Is Us’ Premiere Date Announced, Season 4 Details
On Monday, June 17, NBC announced the This Is Us Season 4 premiere date. The show has its own Instagram account run by NBC, which is one of the first places the news was announced.
The post reads, “Who’s ready for a Big Three family reunion? #ThisIsUs is back Tuesday, September 24 on @NBC.”

In addition to announcing the details for this hit drama, NBC has also shared the rest of the fall lineup. This includes The Good Place, New Amsterdam, The Voice, and your other favorite NBC shows.
What to expect in Season 4
Season 3 of This Is Us left off with somewhat of a cliffhanger. Fans who watched the season finale will recall seeing Mandy Moore’s character, Rebecca Pearson, laying in a bed and looking very frail. In this flash-forward, it’s obvious that Rebecca is suffering from some type of illness. All of her children are present in the scene.
Based on that scene alone, there are definitely some unanswered questions. It’s unclear whether those will be addressed in the upcoming season. With three seasons to go, it’s possible that we will have to wait for the details of Rebecca’s illness.
Because of what we’ve seen from the show in the past, it’s obvious that a lot will happen in Season 4. In an interview, Dan Fogelman, the creator of This Is Us, said, “Fans are going to like the way some things go, they’re going to have questions and not like the way other things go.”
Recently, Dan shared more details and said, “We’re really excited. It’s been our first couple weeks back in the writers room and I’ve already written the first episode of the season over break, and [co-showrunners] Isaac [Aptaker] and Elizabeth [Berger] are writing the second one right now.”
Then, he continued, saying, “It’s a really ambitious season. We’re in the middle of these characters’ journeys and that’s a really exciting place to be. I can’t tell [you] much about the storyline, but I think the first episode… people will be talking about it. It’s different and unusual.”

In the comments of the Instagram post, fans are getting pretty excited. Of course, they know that it’s time to prepare for the tears.
One fan wrote, “Yaasssss, Monday just got better with this amazing news! Now we have 99 days to stock up on those tissues!” Another fan said, “can’t come soon enough!!!!!”
Because Season 4 doesn’t premiere for another few months, it’s the perfect time to get your friends hooked on the show. They have plenty of time to watch the first three seasons before the next one premieres.
